I need to edit my contacts in Waze. Some have moved. I would also like to add several contact/addresses. It would be great if I could simply click on the contacts I want to add in my Contacts list.

Waze lists contacts multiple times if they have more than one phone number. If you accidentally pick the wrong one - it ends up in your 'recent' list (of 4). However, there appears to be no option to get rid of the bad pick. As the list re-orders each time you use your contacts - it's annoying as half the time I pick the wrong contact and then the ride doesn't actually get shared. As such, I've been sharing to both recently. If there was a click and hold to activate a recent list 'edit' - I could remove the wrong entry.

I agree. I send WAZE requests to two people. My wife, and one of my brothers. No one else uses Waze. I don't know why i need to scroll through pages upon pages of contacts when I only want to send my route to one of two people at a time.

I think I just fixed this. When I drive home I often send an eta to my husband. Once I drove home and my friend requested that I let her know when I got home. Since then, the eta + shortcut has changed into my friend and I always have to open the list to select my husband, who is second on the list. Today I fumbled around to try to fix this and suddenly it is fixed: the only thing I did was not checkmark my husband in the list, but search for him and then select him. Now he is my shortcut again! I soooo hope this works for you too!

Please, please, please let us change the Send ETA shortcut. It still shows the first person I used it with when the feature was added years ago. Why not show last used or most used?

It takes too long to search for a contact to send an ETA. Waze needs FAVORITE CONTACTS that always show up at the top of the list when sending ETA.

As it is now, when you navigate, Waze tries to figure out who you want to send it to based on previous trips. But this does nothing if you are meeting someone somewhere you have never been. WE NEED FAVORITE CONTACTS!

Please please Waze fix this!!!! I am looking for an update for this since years....

This short list was there last year and then went away.

Every day I drive to clients for work, and I like to use the function of send ETA to client, but of course I don’t have them saved in my Waze contacts, so I have to send them a text message which is preprogrammed to tell them the arrival time, but it would be great to have the option of editing that preprogrammed text to say my name and company auto signature at the bottom, because I always have to add that at the bottom and it’s awkward to do.

It’s rude to just send a message without signing it off if the customer doesn’t know what your phone number is.

The reply to that text message would always come back with… “Who is this?”

If this function could be added to the settings that would be great.

I ask for this feature every time Waze makes a Facebook post. I don't need Waze to try and figure out who I want to send an ETA to based on where I'm going I just want to choose from my own list which contacts I want to share whatever Drive I want to

I guess everyone complaining about their exes picture showing up got their wish, now every time I drive home from work I have to scroll thru my entire contacts list so I can select my wife and send her an ETA, thanks a lot :/

The simplest solutions are either:

1. add a single checkbox that lets the user choose to sort contacts in "recently used" order instead of alphabetical.

-or-

2. add a single checkbox that puts "favorite" contacts at the top of the list.

Either of these solves both problems and requires very little work to implement.

Yes, indeed. One should be able to send ETA via SMS to any contact whether that contact has a Waze account or not.

I need to send ETA information only to a few people. Most of them are children or elderly people who have no car and therefore no Waze and cannot be Waze friends. It is much too dangerous to have to scroll through several hundred phone contacts while driving to select the person who gets my arrival time. I badly need a list of RECENT ETA CONTACTS or an editable list of ETA CONTACTS at the top of the list to select the ETA addressee in one click.

I've grown more than weary of seeing my ex-wife's icon (her initials) pop up every time I use Waze. Not only that, but it tends to switch between her married initials and her maiden initials from time to time. She's no longer a contact in any way, so I don't understand why she shows up at all, and I certainly know she's not off somewhere switching her name back and forth. Please fix this, Waze. Please. I don't need a heart thump every time I use your app.

Yes this list really does need to be editable, other than the people you have 'fallen out with' remaining in the list it's upsetting when someone who died keeps popping up despite never having a destination shared with them

I use SEND ETA all of the time. I use it sometimes for work colleagues if we're meeting somewhere (often from separate parts of the country).
I also use it to let me partner know what time I'll be back when driving 100+ miles from work locations.
The suggestions are SO annoying.
As others have said, they don't seem to make sense, and aren't editable.
The first suggestion that always comes up, is a financial adviser I used years ago, and definitely never sent a waze to.
However, my partner doesn't appear in the list!
Under ALL, my ex appears beneath my current partner, which causes raised eyebrows, despite trying to explain that it's not something I can edit.
Also the "instant share" icon when you first plan a route, is sometimes accurate (right person) but other times / journeys shows someone I don't (think I) know.

Also, as per another suggestion I've voted for, you can't seem to see who is following your route any more. Sometimes that's useful if I send the route / ETA to my family whatsapp group and / or my partner and my kids if I'm on the way to pick them up, and don't know if they've seen my message to be ready, at any point on my journey...

The list that shows up in sending ETA is the most frustrating aspect of Waze. It never picks a good recommendation and I always have to scroll through the bloody list at the most inconvenient times.

This causes LOTS and LOTS of anxiety for exes all over the world. It is possible to remove the location and add it back in, which DOES prevent this behavior.... until the next time you receive an update and it starts all over again. It seems that storing a location also stores the ETAs associated with that location. If you can store that data and resend it with updates, then why can't you remove it? Or at least offer the option to remove it? I get stressed every time i see my boyfriend's Ex pop-up yet again. He goes off the deep end..... When are you gonna fix this major stressor?

Or perhaps show phone favorites before the rest of the contact list... But an editable list would be preferable.

Currently no favorites to share my trip with I have to filter through each time should have 4 or 5 fav's when opening share my route.
