"wish list" points
Have you ever read a good article about some place, and decide to go there ... but it
s impossible to get there in short future. I was thinking to make some think like "wish list" of places where I would like to visit. Is similar to favorite places but not used so often. And the best would be the reminder that if you are riding xx (20) km form your “wish point” Waze would suggest you to visit it. I travel b bicycle a lot. International Land Border Wait Time
I would like to suggest that Waze capture wait times at land border ports of entry into the US in the Canadian and Mexico border with automated geofencing. There are millions of people who come in a day into the US and would be a great market for people who come shop in the US.

Change how road numbers are spoken in the UK
Speaking the A5183, for example, as "A fifty-one eighty-three" is confusing, since everybody I know calls it the "A five one eight three". The rules are a bit complicated, it's true, as we do use this pattern for two digit road numbers, three digit ending in 0, and roads ending in 00 or 000. But in all other cases we just speak the individual digits.
So
"A five"; "A ten"; "A sixty-six"; "A two hundred"; "A one thousand"; "A six fifty"; but "A six four seven"; "M six oh six" ; "A six oh three seven".6 votes -

Show Status Bar: Next gas station 5 miles on Route Kilometers
An idea.
Problem: I am on a trip from 800 kilometers with the route defined and must supply the vehicle in the middle of the route must go into settings and check for Waze fuel stations near which usually makes me out of route.
Solution: The Waze could show on the main screen a status bar stating "the next gas station 5 km, 3 km" which is on the route "always updating this status when we passed the gas station, or even show the price of fuel preferred the next 3 posts so I can choose whether it is better…

Background video recording - record drive events, send image with traffic and accident reports
Run a background video recorder saving video from camera, choices of map, speed, speed limit, etc. overlay,
When reporting traffic or accident, offer to send image at time of report that was captured by background recording.
Keep these photos and videos in app specific storage, not mixed with personal photos/videos.
Overwrite old video unless saved manually or due to high g event.
Supervised driver mode (teen driver) option to time lapse recording to save space I.e. Hyperlapse functionality. Automatically or manual upload of saved or supervised video to cloud service such as Dropbox before deleting.Yes other Apps have some…

pre-select most commonly used updates into nav screen buttons
Have one main button on the navigation map screen that when pressed dynamically separates into 6 buttons (3 on the left [upper corner, midlevel, lower corner], 3 on the right). This would cut down on the clutter when an update is not needed.
Allow the user to customize these buttons to their most commonly used ones. For me, they would be car on the shoulder, heavy traffic, and hidden cop. If the update was on my side of the road, I would customize these to the right 3 buttons. If they were on the opposite side, I could customize these…

Add fast food locations along interstates
For travelers, not in towns, it would be helpful to identify dining options along interstates ahead of time rather than having to rely on billboards and state exit signs.

Add a "police are nearby" feature
Police move frequently. It would be. Nice to know if police were spotted near an area; not necessarily at a specific location. Thanks!

Sound Alert in LOCKED phone
I think Waze could enable an option to be able to keep warning (Radar, Hazards, Accident, Police, Heavy Traffic, etc) even when phone is LOCKED. When I lock my Android 4.3.1 it doesn't alert anything.

Allow swipe to close notifications.
When a notification appears on the Waze client, there's an "X" on the top-right corner to close it. The close button also has an auto-timer, which is fine.
However, while driving it is hard to tap the exact location of the "X" and often i tap on another nearby portion of the screen, which only causes the display to change. And waiting for the timer is not always practical (i only need 3-5 seconds to read a notification, not up to 15 seconds!).
So instead (or additionally)... why not have the notifications close by simply swiping them off the screen?…

Bring back the old Option to share my Drive on Facebook.
It was easy and funny to share in Facebook by tap on the facebook logo.

road ahead preview button
I would like to have an on map button which, on hold or on press, will zoom out the map to show the entire route ahead.
Releasing or pressing again will go back to regular nav mode.
This is great for getting a sense of the route and not having to be constantly alert to input from the client (visual or auditory).

Number of active wazers in my city/country
On the dashboard and/or client it would be very cool if you could see some stats about number of active wazers in my city and country. For instance: number of users today, this week, this month and this year. And a number showing how much usage is up/down since last week/month/year.

Option to erase all or each location recent travelled. To be more organized and save the places that you would go again.

ETA for Next Road
I like the idea of being able to see my overall ETA, but it would be cool if I could also see my ETA to my next road. Kinda breaks long commutes into chunks.
