Allow a user-selected zoom to STAY until user re-centers map
Many times I want to keep Waze at a certain zoom level for a long time, but Waze automatically resets the zoom and re-centers by itself. What's wrong with letting the user set AND KEEP a particular zoom level until canceled by the user, with or without keeping the map centered on current position. It's very annoying to have to keep readjusting Waze to show what I want to see!

Police Check point
I really like this app due to the fact that give you a lot information while you are driving. I would like to see a new option to this app, I would like to see an Alert for POLICE CHECK POINT, this will be used for all the immigrants, who want to avoid the police.
Once you have ready. You will introduce to ALL THE COMMUNITY for use.I'm also contacting a app people to see if they can develop it, but I think it will be easier and faster for you guys.

Remove our tiny street from Waze. Not enough room for 2 cars to pass. (Lake View Avenue, 90039)
We live on a tiny street in Silverlake, Los Angeles that is technically 2 way, but only fits one car. Waze has increasingly been sending inexperienced drivers here which creates havoc because there are no shoulders or driveways to pull into (no sidewalks either).

Hey you guys, So I am using Waze every day and I found out one day that I can mark the pot holes. So I mark about 7 of them so that tomorrow the drive in will be easier as Waze will remind me where the pot holes are. My screen lights up with way too many thumbs ups coming from everybody. I did not even expect that at all! It was exciting that I was helping other people also.! BUT.!!!!! The next day ALL the pothole tags were no longer showing up.! So my question is this: Just Exactly…

Parking signs
As a resident of LA ive noticed when I park somewhere im always stressed about making sure i find the parking signs denoting street cleaning and any no parking times. I think its be awesome if users could take pictures of parking signs that pop up when someone is parking to be like HEY LOOK AT THIS SIGN BEFORE YOU GET OUT OF YOUR CAR AND FORGET TO LOOK AND GET A TICKET OR TOWED. Am i mark Zuckerberg now?

have you ever thought about making a bluetooth remote for updating while driving
create a remote that has the most common updates on it - cop - vehicle on the side of the road - object in road - traffic. you would have to take your eyes of the road just hit the appropriate button for updating. updates would be more accurate and more people would participate in updating which it the whole point.

A button to flag a bad intersection or left turn; Waze can then remember and avoid it next time.

Section Control
In a lot of European countries you have speed-control via section-control, means:
the avgerage speed is measured of a certain distance by taking picture of car when entering and leaving the measuring section.
Unfortunatly currently you can not warn other users of such controls.
On contrary, such controls are only posted as stationary speed-control when entering, which is very misleading4 votes -

gas prices on intersections are usually the same. please give users option to update entire intersection rather than one by one which no one has time for while driving

Alert drivers that a street they are about to take is extremely steep and their car might not make it up.
Alert drivers that a street they are suggesting is extremely steep and that a car might not make it up that steep street. I have recently daily watched cars on a local street in Echo Park using Waze to get around traffic only to be directed up one of the steepest streets in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, unless they have a new car with great tires and transmission many are getting stuck on street on the way up. It is actually funny when I have talked to the people they all say that Waze directed them up this street. I bet…

Have Waze check the hours of operation to ensure you will arrive while destination is open.
I went to Lowes on Sunday, only to find out that the closest store to me was closed on Sundays (Blue Laws). There were 2 other Lowes stores that were close by that were open.
Suggestion: When entering a destination that has the hours of operation completed, have Waze tell driver that the location is closed, or that it will be closed at ETA. Driver can then override the message and still go to destination, or pick a new destination of same type or name. Of course, this would only work for locations that have hours of operation.
