Driving contact location would be nice.
My wife is a waze and I see that she is driving now but I can not locate her anywhere on the route she is taking. A quick like to show her present location would be nice. You never know when your going to have to drive to pick her up cuz she broke down somewhere along the way.

Sometimes screen gets grayed out after some alert pops up and I become unable to tap and move the map
When an alert pops up, the map gets grayed out, and after it closes out, sometimes the map stays grayed out forever, so it is inaccessible and I cannot scroll it to see the route ahead. The only way of fixing this is by closing Waze, removing the running app from the memory and opening Waze again, and then it needs to recalculate the route.

Allow the same place to be set as HOME and WORK
I (and I guess several other waze users) work and live at the same building/address. Home office or shared use, it doesn't matter. There could be an option to set them as the same place.

Make "on my route" the default tab for reports
It seems that people would be more interested in reports that are on their route instead of around me. You can save us all a click by making on my route the default tab.

Defining the traffic direction depending on certain hours and weekdays
Add the option to define the direction a street has depending on the hours of the day and weekdays.

Roles for Wazers
Suggestion: I'd like to see users be able to select 'roles' so some users can be 'law enforcement' and others can be Dept of Transportation and such. This would require some type of 'vetting' by either using an official email or by requiring users to receive a minimum # of matching alerts (police roadside) at the same location as a wazer who has selected 'law enforcement). I have a number of cop friends who would love to be able to use waze while on duty and the public know where they are. I suspect this would also give other government…

Show "merge" when road name changes
Some paths go on roads crossing city boundaries and the road changes or the road only goes in one direction but the road name changes, it would be nice to see an arrow with name change.
Some paths go through a ramp or lane merge that do not show because it is the only path possible, but the name of the road changes, or the direction (turning right since it is the only possible route) which is misleading when you know you have to turn right but Waze says the next turn is left.

Enable/disable "Standby" via slide lock or confirmation pop-up.
The new "Standby" function is not as friendly as I thought it would be. Lets say you've arrived at your destination and have placed Waze on standby and a few seconds later, you realize that you've got a new destination you want check up on (ETA? Location?) or you just want check your settings...
ERRR!
In order to access anything on the Waze app, it will trigger your device's GPS feature and if not mindful, your battery will pay the price (drain!).Lie my subject title suggests... a slide-to-confirm standby, ON/OFF button, would be great.
