Revolutionary project for Waze: accurate and updated geolocation for the island of Reunion
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you today to propose a revolutionary project for the Waze application.
I am a resident of the island of Reunion, and I am passionate about this island. I regularly travel the island, and I am able to list all the companies in the entire territory.
I would like to offer my geolocation services for accurate and non-erroneous addresses, as well as photos (if necessary) and regular updates.
I am aware that Waze already offers a geolocation service, but I notice that some parameters could be improved.

Gas search results too far from current location
When I am on a long trip and search for gas stations the nearest results seem to be too far from my current location (30 mi or more). I have to switch to Google maps do a separate search for gas near me and then go back to Waze, which is a big hassle while driving.

I dropped a friend off at work during my first visit to Detroit, so I could use her car for the day. I used Waze to navigate away from her job, but her phone doesn’t work in
the office and I have no way of contacting her to get the address to her job. It would be great to just go into Waze and select “RETURN TO START POINT” and have Waze navigate me back seamlessly! This would be a Fanta…1 vote -
Dont show places that are permanently closed. Bed bath and beyond on tapo cyn in simi valley moved to 1st st which doesn't show up.
New facilities... how can we report these so the app is more trustworthy?

enable search whilst driving
Hi
Waze no longer enables you to effectively and safely search for a location. So let's imagine I want to go to Audi in Mosman [Australia]...
- I use Vocie command. BUT it is not repeated back to you or you cannot see where it has selected. In this instance it navigates me to Aldi not Audi...****
Just try "Take me to the moon" and it will start to navigate but who knows where to.
So let's go old school and type it in...
- You are not allowed whilst driving, even if it is the passenger entering the info.

Full, exact, and non-ambiguous addresses should only return the one matching search result, or skip the results screen
Why show so many extra mismatched search results when you enter a full exact non-ambiguous address? For example, if I enter the address
"12301 W Sunrise Blvd, Plantation, FL 33323"
I get the following results:
12301 W Sunrise Blvd <--- this is the only correct match
Plantation, FLSunrise Blvd
Plantation, FLPlantation Baptist Church
11700 NW 28th ct, SunriseSunrise Collision Inc.
1384 NW 65th Ave. Plantation12301 W Sunrise Blvd
Sunrise, FLWhy show anything other than the 1st result? The other results aren't matches at all! That only makes you question what you entered, and then angers…

Working hours for Places in search results
Please, consider adding working hours for places in search results. It would be very convenient to see at glance which places are open and which are closed and decide where to navigate. It won't be necessary to check each place separately if it is working or not. This is even more more important in the light of adding EV charging stations, many of which aren't open always.

Search results not close to my location.
Usually, the first few search results are hundreds or even thousands of kilometres / miles from my location. Search results should default to the closest to me, unless I add more details on the search location, like town/city.

Destination not shown after a voice search
Hi team. Thank for mantain Waze. In previously versions, after a voice search for a destination site, waze shows me a list of possible results or a unique destination if it was accurate. The destination address appears in the map. In latest versions, if waze found a unique result i cant see it to validate if it is tbe result i am waiting for.

Restroom Search
Please add feature to search for closest restrooms on route - rest areas, public restrooms at gas stations and restaurants. Waze admin responses to other bathroom feedback states users can search for “restroom” or “toilets”, but this feature does not work. Waze directed me to a rest area 20 miles away. Gas station search sent me to 4 San Diego area gas stations, 1 closed and 3 with no public restrooms. The closest restaurant required a minimum purchase for the restroom door code.

Bring back the Gas Station setting
Bring back the option that you can select your fuel type and gas station brand. It makes it so much easier when you are looking for a gas station in the list.

When closing suggested destination on startup the window takes vetween 5 to 15 seconds to close
Does not close suggestion window right away takes 10 12 seconds to close

Do not change the speech-to-text language when in another country
My telephone and Waze are set to The Netherlands/ Dutch language
My speech to text standard is set to Dutch.
When I was in Brussels Belgium today, I wanted to add a new navigation and spoke the Dutch written address in Dutch language, but Waze tried to make French words and numbers of it. Brussels is French languistic, but does that mean that Waze automatically tries to find addresses in the language of the country (or part of) where it is at the moment? I had to type the address in, when after 3 attempts of speaking the address and…2 votes
