Natural gas on Brazil
hello you all... so, I'm a brazilian wazer, and here we have another type of fuel, GNV, that means Vehicle natural gas. It's a kind of metano gas, we have a lot of reserves, it's the cheaper fuel that we have here.
so, I understand that the app cannot be changed just for one country. my suggest is that here, in brazil, at the end of the gas station, we can put the acronym GNV, and the other wazers that use this fuel can know that is a gas station that can supply that fuel30 votesGreat thinking! Rain or heavy rain weather report?
Hello waze team!
It would be great if waze could make a new hazard weather report on "raining" or "heavy rain" on the road. I believe it was sort of missing in hazard>weather report section.

Fire Option
With many states being a fire state, and it being fire season, there should be an option to report a fire. I was driving through Fresno and a brush fire appeared on the freeway, and since there was no fire department or police on scene yet, I think having a fire option would help people know that the area is going to be congested, and to watch out for safety reasons. Fires can obviously happen at any moment, and I think it would be great to give people a heads up to be extra cautious and safe.

keep directions on the screen
Using Waze is for directions of not knowing where to go so I think you need to go back to the small alerts on the screen instead of taking up the directions spot and having them disappear. It’s very frustrating trying to find your way through a city you’ve never driven in before when the directions keep disappearing to alert you that there’s a car on the side of the road.

Add a NEW 'Police Notice' flag for the "MIDDLE" of the road!
On Waze, when flagging a Police, there's currently a 'POLICE' flag, for the current road side you're on; 'OTHER SIDE' flag, when the Police is on the other side of the road; but NO 'MIDDLE' (of the road) flag!
There are many instances where Police park (or hide) on the middle of a two-way route or major roadway.

Driver Avatars/Icons
Gamification in apps like this can incentivize consumers to increase usage of your app. More frequent users ultimately increases your revenue from advertising and other potential sources. My idea is that you should incorporate a point/coin system that rewards users for driving miles using Waze. These points can then be used to buy avatars and icons in place of the boring arrow that represents the driver. The more points you save up, the cooler avatars you can buy. The quick sound settings are too small - I think you should replace it with a big button that switch between On - Alerts - Off on the menu.

Minimal voice
I like voice navigation, but the notifications for each turn is excessive for me. It would be great if there was a voice that have only one notification 30 seconds or so before each turn. Thanks for the great product.

Waze should have Patch Notes for every update. Let Users know what has changed with each new version (dropped support, improved support etc)
Patch Notes, like those implemented in every online game in the past two decades, would drastically reduce User issue-reporting (with the app) due to misunderstanding of which Waze features are supported, which are not, which features have lost support and where etc.
Just every time the User updates the app, upon next sign-in, just flash a dialogue box with the latest patch notes (perhaps a link).
As an aside: the Help Center could be more clear and specific about how certain features (e.g., speed camera alerts) work. The exact parameters for getting audible speed camera alerts are not known and…
