An option that can share a calculated route to a list of identified friends also using Waze, including detours taken, stops etc. This would be useful for groups of riders where one has the 'master' route and can send it to others on the same ride, so if they get lost/stopped behind they can follow the route to the next meeting point, even if the leader had to take a detour (planned route/stopping points not available). If it could update each of the riders in the group with their location to the others that woudl be swell

Would be an amazing helpful add-on to this app if we could get this done cause it would help many many car meets and cruises all around everywhere! 💙

Waze Car Cruise. People on car cruises always lose each other. Can you make a way for people to temporarily join a cruise so their cars are labeled while they’re part of the cruise. They can remove themselves once they leave the cruise or the cruise can have a time limit.

Wondering about creating a feature on Waze for Purim to make delivering of shalach manos packages easier. We find that it is almost impossible to deliver to our kids friends as they are also always delivering. Short of parking next to a teachers house where everyone delivers too, or constantly calling/texting to see where en route people are, in the end most packages end up being left on the doorsteps. Wondering if Waze could add a city specific feature where people could upload the names of people they want to deliver to and then if the people are also using this feature, they could see where each other is so meet en route to exchange packages.

I think a good idea would be an option to send somebody your route so that they are able to join it. I say this because my friend and I were driving down to a birthday, and I was following her, however we kept on losing each other and had to keep calling to see where we both were. It would be easier if you could send your location to someone and a route shows you to them, or you can add somebody to a journey you are taking so that you will both be on the same route and not lose each other. I think this is a great idea ! You can only send your route to the designated person, and a route will show up leading you onto the same route as that person until you both reach the destination.

I just recently had an idea very similar to this. I was thinking something along the lines of a shared navigation between users in all the cars in the group where everyone's locations were shown on the map and if a car deviated from the route on Waze, there could be a pop up menu with options such as "I need gas" or "Need a break" or "Need food" etc where that quick message would act as a notification to the others on the trip. More of a "social" aspect to group traveling.

Wazer Caravan Groups
This may already exist in the sharing my route feature but I do not know how to use it if it does. My idea is to expand the feature of sharing a route and seeing other wazers to allow for a user to invite one or more other waze users to form a group for a trip/route. This would be useful for caravans of car clubs or just family and friends who want to see each other's location on the map as they travel together and have the ability to catch up with a group if you get separated. I envision that the group members for the trip would travel the same route and be shown with a special icon on the map to ease location visibility. Also, group text messages could be added to communicate with the group.

Let's say if some people are organising a trip which will involve a few cars. If waze is used in each car then it will be useful to have some sort of friends list which can create a group and show on waze where are each car of the group that was made. This can be useful to see where is every car from your group.
One example of creating a group is to invite your friends from contacts, the leader will set the destination and the route will synchronize among all contacts. Then each user is shown in application by marking them with a star or something in order to distinguish them from the other wazers.

Mon idée permettrai à plusieurs personne de suivre un véhicule de tête équipé aussi de waze.
Pratique lors d'un cortège. Ou comme dans mon cas pour cet été ou l'on part à 2 véhicules sur 800km on va bien arrivé a se perdre de vue entre les feu rouge, les rond point etc. Le suiveur ne suivrais plus un itinéraire fixe mais le véhicule de tête.

La fonction partage d'itinéraires et déjà bien mais activé une fonction de suivi serait bien.

Hi guys,
I was thinking about a functionality that helps to follow a friend in another car.
Basically: you send a notify to follow up to your friend and if he accept, waze shows in your device the way to follow him. And in his device is showing where you are.

This is very cool when you need following somebody to a place thet you don't know, but you heve to go whit two cars. Many problems can happen in this seemingly simple task, like closed semaphore, lose yourself between other cars in traffic, among others.

Eu estava pensando em uma funcionalidade que ajuda a seguir um amigo em outro carro.
Basicamente: você envia uma notificação para o acompanhamento do seu amigo e se ele aceitar, o waze mostra no seu dispositivo o caminho para segui-lo. E no seu dispositivo está mostrando onde você está.

Isso é muito legal quando você precisa seguir alguém para um lugar que você não conhece, mas você tem que ir em dois carros. Muitos problemas podem acontecer nesta tarefa aparentemente simples, como semáforo fechado, perder-se entre outros carros no trânsito, entre outros.

When you drive somewhere with multiple cars it would be useful if you could link multiple waze clients. Make one of the clients route leader so when waze proposes a detour to avoid traffic the route is synced to the other devices in the group. So you can stay together on a long drive.
