Some of the voices we feature are promotional, meaning they are only available for a limited time.
We offer special voices for holidays, events, and just for fun.
You can use these for the length of the promotion. When the promotion ends, your voice will reset to the default and the voice will no longer appear in the Sound menu.

We hope that you enjoyed the voice while it was available and can’t wait to share more exciting voices to come!

Want to try another voice?

Tap Menu and tap the Settings wheel.
Tap Voice & sound.
Tap Voice Language and select the voice you’d like to use.

    Please bring back Tyler Perry’s voice of Madea for voice directions on Waze. My Drive has not been the same without Madea.

    Someone is SPAMMING this suggestion box with repeated requests for the Madea voice, apparently in attempt to garner more visibility. It's distracting. Please cancel them all and start over (as the combined votes are surely duplicates)

    I would pay to have certain voices permanent. I hate that every summer before a road trip, you take away the celebrity voice I use.

    I also switched for Madea and sadly found out it's no longer avail. Going back to google maps!!!

    I think there should be a series of gay voices.. all the time. I would be willing to pay for a service with gay voices such as a drag queen, Leather daddy, etc

    I just found out today that the voice of Madea was available for Waze. But when I tried to get it it is not listed. I read that a voice is available only for a short amount of time, please please bring Madea's voice back it' wonderful!

    I would like to suggest future celebrity voices for consideration and also suggest you offer a paid version to buy and keep our favorite celebrity voices and bring back some favorites. New voice idea - Taraji P Henson, Sofia Vergara, Samuel L Jackson, Beyonce, Liam Neeson, Sean Connery, James Earl Jones, Fran Drescher, Barack Obama, Eddie Murphy, Robert De Niro, AL Pacino, Larry the Cable Guy, Denzel Washington, Chris Tucker, Jeff Foxxworthy, - BRING BACK - Morgan Freeman, T-Pain, Madea
