Including speed, times in effect, presence of warning lights, etc.

Would be very useful for driving in unfamiliar areas during school hours.

In order to have a less stressful commute I would like to avoid school zones especially when school starts and let out.

When you edit the speed limit, you can put certain speed limits for certain times and days.

In Australia, school zones are sections of road that have reduced speed limits during school start and finish times and found near schools...
8am - 9:30am &
2:30pm - 4pm zones are activated & speed is reduced to 40km/h
I would like to see the screen change to a warning type colour with school zone & 40km/h on the screen

Adding the ability for users to report active school zones the same way they report traffic jams and speed limit errors would be great!

Definitely need school zones in Australia, but excellent for rest of world to keep children safe.

How do you report school zones? Waze just report the regular speed limit but won't tell you when is a school zone nearby or advise you to lower velocity since the school zone is on.Many of school zones I drive by, you can't tell until you see the police officer or the school buses .

Allow Wazers report school zones and times of the school zone. That way Wazers can be routed around the area if they do not need to take that way. Also, it can help them be more alert

School zone speeds vary in my area, so leave an option to enter the posted speed, along with times.

School Zone detail:
1) Warn when approaching a school zone, allowing enough time to bring speed under control before entering school zone.
2) Specify school zone speed limit prior to entering school zone.
3) If school zone specifies "no cell phones", so state prior to entering
school zone.
4) Repeated warnings every 30 seconds that driver is in a school zone, until driver clears the school zone, and repeat speed limit for the school zone every 30 seconds until driver clears the school zone and warn the driver if the school zone speed limit is exceeded, every time it is exceeded
5) Announce when the school zone is cleared by the vehicle.

I'd like to see active school zones on my map so I could avoid them. I consider the kiddies to be hazards. :)
