Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

The only advantage Garmin has over Waze is that it lets you know that you are approaching your destination ... 'on the right or the left.' It would be great if you could build that feature in. I love using Waze1

We all need to know what side of the street the address is on can you please put the pin on the side of the street instead of the middle of the street?

Still asking for this feature. Alteration in the destination icon to put the destination pin on the correct side of the globe or incorporating some type of arrow or other graphic.
It would be incredibly helpful on heavily trafficked multilane roads.

This is a safety idea for tourists when visiting countries where they drive on a different side of the road. For example in my country which is New Zealand, there are many accidents and fatalities of tourists who drift over the right side of the road when they are meant to be on the left. My idea is to incorporate voice reminders to stay on the left so you would hear "drive 5km on Smith Street, remember to stay on the left" or turn right at the next intersection, remember to stay in the left lane" etc. I feel this feature could save lives, especially on long road trips where people lapse into auto-pilot. This is an instant and regular reminder, much more effective than occasional road signs which people may not even notice. Could also incorporate known dangerous intersections too i.e. "take care at the next intersection, slow down" etc.

I am dyslexic and have Avery hard time with left and right. It would be helpful to have an option for the directions to be driver side / passenger side.

Google Maps says aloud: Your destination is on the left. Can't be that hard if Google Maps already does it

So everyone has complained about this for years. Why do t they add that (if destination is on left or right). Makes me not want to use it anymore. Is it a copyright infringement to add or something?

I came to make this suggestion too. This will be very helpful and should take no effort to include

When I put my phone in my dash mount, it holds the phone horizonal. The top bar displays my directions to next turn, and when a notification comes up under this bar, it is half covered up by the top bar. When you have the phone horizonal, it seems better to post these notifcations on the right or left quarter of the screen, since there is extra room when phone is horizonal. Now maybe it is the size of the font I have my phone set to display-which is large because I need it to be-but still displays on the screen should adjust for font size.

100% agree. The app already shows the checkered flag on the map, but it's hard to see that right away. The red pin would be very helpful.
