It would be great to be able to report icy roads on waze for fellow wazers.

I am running Waze on my car through iPhone and CarPlay, and I find terribly annoying the fact that:
1) when an hazard is reported, it is shown on the map with a generic icon, regardless it is a broken car, an ice hazard or a flood
2) I got no alert on it as I am approaching
3) I can't even tap on the hazard so see what kind of hazard is itso please start using dedicated icons for different problems on the road and start Waze alerting

Is important to add icons to advice about weather conditions on the road, snoe, iced bridges, fog,

Add <hazzard> <on road> <ice/snow> before the US winter months, please!

There are several separate requests for an ice hazard. I wonder if an admin could merge them and the votes and comments?
A warning when close to or below freezing is a good idea. And not only would it be good to have a warning for specific areas of ice, but if ice has been reported within a certain distance of your location (perhaps user-configurable).
Finally, in addition to ice, a snow drift hazard would be very helpful.

Also, one of them suggested a warning when close to or below freezing as well, which is a good idea. And not only would it be good to have a warning for specific areas of ice, but if ice has been reported within a certain distance of your location (perhaps user-configurable).

ICE traffic stops for the Immigrant community. I know you can indicate police in the area but maybe adding a feature for ICE traffic stops instead of just police in the area, it would be helpful.

Also, need a easier way to report potholes, my suggestion:
- Winter driving mode: one-touch pothole reporting, with the following options
- Right now
- 30 seconds ago (then Waze can estimate the location based on the vehicle's current speed
- 400m or 1/4 mile behind (this assumes that the driver has an okay sense of distance when driving, so the time delay may be better, but just a thought)When driving, sometimes you cannot touch your smart phone's screen right away
Also, when in Winter Mode, display and warm the potholes reported by other users.
The delayed reporting options could also be used to report other road hazards.
Thanks.

REALLY like the idea of accident black spot warnings.

Totally agree with mobile speed cams. 99% of speed cams in Saudi Arabia are mobile ones, they usually are set up at the beginning of the day and the authorities take them off at the end of the day. Adding a new report option for mobile speed cams which can last for a minimum of 6 hours and an extra hour for everytime it gets thanked by a wazer wil make this app the most successful app in Saudi Arabia I guarantee you that.

Many of the reports I need are in road when I need them on verge or hard shoulder or vice versa. These other comments and ideas are awesome too!.
Can reporting all these things be easier by voice please. There are many options for you to implementbthis fairly easily -

Maybe in the Hazard section you could add RAIN <Hard> <moderate> <light> because some times it's raining but not foggy or ice ( for Quebec summers)

Consider adding an option to report service vehicles stopped on the road and/or shoulder - which is to mean any official vehicle other than law enforcement, which has its own category. Electric utilities, local government maintenance vehicles, fire/rescue, phone/cable vehicles, tow trucks, etc.
I also support the idea of being able to toggle specific warnings on and off. Vehicle on shoulder reports, and red light cameras that I come across regularly and am well aware of, are tiresome.
Also, I vote against trying to come up with "mobile" reports such as cyclists, pedestrians, rolling law enforcement, and things that are moving. There is no way to program anything to predict where these things will go in the next 30 seconds, making 100% of these reports inaccurate within 30 seconds. No thank you.
