Average Speed / ANPR Camera Reporting
As well as normal Gatso type speed cameras, increasingly automatic number plate recognition / average speed cameras are used in the uk. Being able to report them & their speed limit, and having a notification that you're within the average limit would be priceless.

In italian highways, there's a system called "tutor". It's different from a speed trap. Between two points, they calculate your average speed. If you go over the limit with your average at the moment you reach the end of a segment, you are fined. Your position inside the segmebt could be represented with something similar to the fantastic queue indicator, just adding an average speed indicator that's going to automatically reset with each segment.

I think there should be speed-sensitive (or just longer) warning distance on higher speeds (say over 140km/h).
A few weeks ago I drove through Germany (which has no speed limits on highways). That "1 kilometer" warning before "exit" is barely enough to change lanes, start braking etc. when doing 160km/h or more.
btw, Go...e M..s warns you 3 km ahead on highways, which is comfortable.

In the Netherlands and Belgium, there are some places that do not monitor the current speed of cars, but the average speed over a longer "sections". These come up as a starting "speed camera" and end camera. It would be priceless to have a "section control" feature that displays your average speed between the start and end point of the sections.

+1 from Belgium. Please add this, i'm now using splitscreen for average speed detection cameras, it works but if its implemented in waze would be great!

In France we have radar sections (radar tronçon) and the danger zones, indicating a, are very poorly managed, a special warning should be created and a calculation of the average speed in this area.

Police have implemented "Average Speed Over Distance" cameras on some of the roads in our area and on some of the highways. It would be nice to have a feature where you could "mark" these cameras and the client could calculate your average speed when between marks to prevent exceeding the average speed limit over the distance between.

Display average speed on roads outside the city. When the speed exceeds 10km / h average speed, alarm. Help drivers on an unknown road

I am sure WAZE has missed a trick but don't slate them for not doing it. they are providing a FREE product. And a good one at that. Adding 100 features at once makes a product unreliable. you add and test a few then add some more.

Average speed is also used in norway

Nowadays I think is essential to show on Waze which type of speed limit camera we are approaching.
The speed limit cameras are great but, more and more, we are getting average speed camera on the road, and the current alerts are not showing them as it should be -

Warning for "above average speed". Either based on "all" users speed on the current road or just previous speeds of the current user.
It could be just a short "blip" or a "check your speed" message every minute or so...That way there would be no need for waze maps to know the speed limit of every single road. Which will never be accurate anyway.

Coyote App also does in a very user-friendly way. This is a missed opportunity for Waze.

Is the Netherlands we have something called 'trajectcontrole' which is a speedtrap with the camera's registering the times of passing and calculate the average speed. For example, the Dutch A4, A13 and A20 and a couple of other highways have such speedtraps.
It would be nice if Waze could registered these times too and calculate the current average speed in those sections.
The app 'FlitsNav' does something similar.

Would be a big plus if this is added to the features of Waze.

Comon people it's not hard to implement and average speed ( I don't care about ANPR honestly) is being implemented more and more on the roads..
