speed traps
Bring back reporting cameras , and adding speed traps need to be posted right away, because mobile speed traps only remain in one spot for a day then move to another location, and (in NYC) it's not a police car, so no one will notice it if reported as police.

Great thinking! The issue you raised has been addressed in a recent redesign. Hope you like it!

Yes, it would be good to differentiate from poolice category for 'mobile speed camera noted ahead' and its own icon under the police category or a new categoty and icon of its own. There are lots of these used in Australia - https://www.speedalert-pro.com.au/SPEED-CAMERAS-in-Australia-Watch-Out-for-Speed-Cameras-s/152.htm

we need the same here in the USA, We need a new category for Known Portable Speed Cameras. I know I cannot be the only one that is tired of the Portable speed cameras that are setup in the same location day after day. I would really like to be able to mark these locations to warn Wazer's of these “Revenue” cameras.
I know there is a marking already for permanent mounted cameras but there are less and less of these and more and more of the portable ones.
In three days this one camera has issued 141 tickets, at $149 per ticket ($21,009.00) you can see why these are not safety enforcement cameras, but just a way to make revenue!!

Add a speed trap icon so drivers can report on speed cameras and mobile speed cameras.

I think the waze community would like to have the functionality to report a speed camera on the road..
And then also the speed limit error feature...Bests regards

We need a reporting icon to show mobile speed cameras operating as we pass them here in Australia. Should be similiar to the police icon we use now so that we can just hit the report button/icon then icon for mobile speed camera to record gps location.

When I first installed Waze, I had the option to report red light cameras as well as speed cameras. It seems that a few of the options that influenced me to download the app, are slowly being taken away. Red light and speed cameras allow Waze users know when there is a school nearby or residential area. I believe that it is, ultimately, a freedom of expression issue. I would like to keep using Waze. Please return the option.

I travel extensively across the US, and would like to see a feature added to report typical locations where police lie in wait to trap speeders.
Active reporting is great, but in areas less traveled by Wazers I run across many police hiding in locations that appear to be "common speed trap" areas. I would like to see such areas marked to alert Wazers of the possibility that police "could" be hiding in wait for the unsuspecting driver to pass by while inadvertantly traveling over the speed limit on long, dark, lonely highways in the middle of nowhere.
The reporting of such areas should be controlled, such as to Wazers that reside or work in the area, or those with a specified accuracy rating. Removal of such a location should also be controlled to make sure they aren't maliciously removed.
