Add Electric Charging station location info.
As as EV driver, it would be nice if electric charging station locations was built into the app so I don't have to go to yet another app just for this info. The data is widely available from here
One problem is there is not one site that has all the info, so I'm forced to check all three. Having all this data within Waze would allow me to stay inside the app without having to leave it.
Places already include this, you can search for "charging station" and they will appear in search.
The results are dependent on the community to map them. If they aren't mapped in the editor they will not appear in the app.
Yes please we need this feature!

It's now over 100 000 EV's in Norway! We need EV chargingstations in Waze! :)

Its so off-topic but don't believe those myths about electric cars not being green: http://shrinkthatfootprint.com/electric-cars-green

For Catalonia, the government maintains an open data file with all public and private-open charging stations:
- Google Maps: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=z4xnIt9uT66s.kxkW7LH1hZ_w
- CSV: http://icaen.gencat.cat/web/sites/icaen/.content/12_opendata/arxius/PUNTS_RECARREGA_VEHICLES_ELECTRICS.csv
And for Spain, the reference repo of charging stations is http://electromaps.com
Btw, don't waste your time arguing in this thread wether you prefer oil or electric cars, it's out of this scope, just don't buy an electric car, nobody will blame at you.

It would likely be easier to use openchargemap data free here: http://openchargemap.org/site/develop

https://my.thenewmotion.com/ contains a LOT of info on charging points in the Netherlands. They would probably be open to collaborating with Waze/supplying charging points and prices.
The big thing missing in their app and website is some user generated data like
- is a charging point publicly accessible?
- additional costs (like parking)?
- other additional regulation (like a max parking duration)
Also doing some rough calculation on charging costs (based on EV battery size) and comparing that to fuel costs of nearby petrol stations (for a comparible range on petrol) would be awesome.

There are over 20,000 charging points in the world today. Suggested targets for infrastructure (charging poles) in the EU available to the public in 2020 is 795,000 pieces. EU launches Clean Fuel strategy http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-13-40_en.htm
Tesla Superchargers allow Model S owners to travel for free between cities along well-traveled highways in North America, Europe and Asia. Coverage
Today – 102 stations
Complete West and East Coast coverage
2014 – 80% of the US population and parts of Canada
2015 – 98% of the US population and parts of Canada
Today – 38 stations and the expansion is underway, at the end of the year only Sweden will have 14 Tesla Superchargers
Today – 4 stations
The exclusion of these is a big mistake!

Don't WASTE development effort on this as these vehicles are a BURDEN to society
Self evidently its proponents leech from others
If anything waze ought be the platform promoting hydrogen fueling stations.

Too masochistic to edit on mobile
Fossil fuel is biochemically stored solar energy. Fossil fuels more efficiently store solar power but not nearly as efficiently as fissionable material
It's bad enough people have been duped into believing these are "environmentally friendly" and i don't want my tax dollars buying fuel for you nor foolish corporations padding your fuel costs onto me
Electric cars cause 2.5 TIMES MORE carbon emissions than traditional engines when that electricity is generated!!
That doesn't include the increased emissions to create the battery or the energy required to responsibly recycle the hazardous materials in the battery. You'll replace the battery set several times in the life of the car
