When a two-way road is split into 2 one-way roads, we place a node from which two segments start at the smoothest possible angle.

Even so, when viewing the app, the car appears to be making a curve, even though it is going in a straight line. An awkward visual effect.

My suggestion is to take advantage of the new "lane width" feature to give better visual handling in these situations. For example, by indicating that a four-lane road has splitted into 2 two-lane roads, the app will know how to better handle the situation.
