Bring back old calming UK Kate voice

Old Thomas pronounced all the California Street Names CORRECTLY. New Thomas (UK) does not know how to pronounce these.

I fail to understand why waze decided to change thomas' voice to this rushed, short, ubruped voice? Who is responsible for this??

the new thomas is terrible. i end up yelling at waze the entire time he speaks now and i don’t enjoy the app anymore. i used and preferred waze to other gps systems because of the navigation voice i’d been using for years. why change that?!

Bring back the old UK Thomas!!!! We miss him.

All the "charm" of the Thomas UK voice is gone. The new one slurs words, is extremely curt and grates on my ear. For the first time in years, I've switched to Italian (not my native language) and this happened only after one short ride of hearing the "new guy".

The new voice comes across angry and impatient.

It speaks too quickly so is difficult to hear the full instructions.

Agreed... the new voices for UK Kate and Thomas are rubbish.
I might delete Waze from my iphone and find another GPS/ SatNav... others are available on the App Store

The new AI voices, especially UK Thomas, are horrendous. He's hard to understand and stressing me out. Why change? It was perfectly fine. Overall, the Waze experience has suffered in the last year (less effective directions) and this really makes it all the worse.

Both UK Kate & UK Thomas are really grating on the ear now. Please change back

I prefer to drive with male voices and there are less of those. I also like street names to be spoken as I believe it is safer than having to look down at the screen to figure it out. There is also a lack of male voices with accents. The new update to the voices is not good at all. If nothing else, bring back the original UK Thomas.

Please bring back the old Thomas without the dreadful regional accent.

I get a little startled every time I hear the new voice—the tone is too harsh and the words are spoken too quickly. It sounds kind of like a nervous backseat driver who's just a little too worried about everything and who doesn't trust me. I much prefer the old voice, which was calmer and slower, and I didn't find its announcements anxiety-inducing.

The new voice is problematic enough for me that I will probably try to find alternatives for navigation unless and until this issue can be resolved.

There was NOTHING wrong with the ‘old’ Thomas. Please can we have him back? The ‘new’ Thomas is just not as good

This is the problem with modern companies telling the customert what they want rather than listening to the customer. The new ones suck, are bad, don't work, conflict, are gruff, Kate sounds like a trans and Thomas is like he's a rally driver's co pilot.

How can a "bug" like this exist MONTHS after people have complained. Why can't you roll it back and do a modicum of user testing before pushing updates like this live?

Stop hiring cheap developers and relying on AI to do your work!
