Higher contrast roads in night mode
When driving at night, I can barely see thin grey roads against the black background. Meanwhile, as I pass roads that need to be verified (chomped), I see all the bright white dots. I'd prefer to have more emphasis on the roads I'm actually using. It's distracting, and distractions when driving, at night no less, are a bad idea!
I have an iPhone 5. Although I have not used waze on other devices, I would assume they have the same color scheme, and thus the same issue.
Alternatively, provide a means to customize the night color scheme like you can for daytime.
Great thinking! The issue you raised has been addressed in a recent redesign. Hope you like it!

Please change the existing blue font of the road names to a colour that is in greater contrast to the black background. When I'm on a journey following the directions, I often look too long at the screen trying to read what's written instead of just glancing. Thanks

Absolutely this! Look to Google Maps on how to do dark mode right. The gray dark mode is way too bright at night.

I don't like violet color of my route in day mode. I like the blue color in night mode which I want to apply in day mode. If route colors could be changed (at least several options), that would be a great option.

Both my s7 and s8 have screen burn from waze. Particularly, the orange/white icon that always stays on the screen while driving at thebottom right. Particularly the pure white border. On OLED screens, particularly if users select the option in waze to keep the screen awake, there is a VERY high chance of that icon burning into their screens. If you could just please change the icon color scheme from white/orange/orange cream to gray or black or ANY OTHER COLOR THAT IS DARK or give users the option to hide that icon, it would stop it from burning onto their screens. Literally, just change white to gray or black and the white/orange to just a darker shade of orange it wouldnt burn into my screen and i wouldnt suggest this change.

Also adding in overtaking lanes would be helpful.
Thanks in advance and keep up the good work

I would like to be able to customise my Waze client layout & quickly select an appropriate layout from saved preset layout profiles, e.g. default, big dials, nav etc. I’d like to adjust & save dial size, colours (for colour blindness), contrast, map or not etc.
Reasons for this: I regularly drive different cars. One has no satnav screen and another has two satnav screens in the daily car, with two display maps (big screen and dash panel). In this car, I don’t need another screen. I just want the traffic information to display and a bigger speed dial. -

Yes, the black background would be better for night time too. Amazed at the stupidity of the person that came up with the gray background and black streets. Either the designer is an idiot, or I'm thinking it must be some sort of cruel joke. I hope to God that this person gets fired and someone comes along and corrects the night mode to light streets on a black background, like it obviously should be (and like it used to be.)

Make the background of the 2D map black, and the streets some other color. Gray background with black streets is very bright at night (lights up the whole inside of the car), and has almost no contrast (as well I have to adjust brightness on my phone all the way down every time I use Waze.) At least have as option in the program. Used to look very good and I was very proud of the version on my Windows phone that had a Black background.

Leapfrog Magellan and Garmin:
ROADTRIP MODE
"Next gas this route: 7, 19, 55"
"Preferred gas: 19, 124"
"Next town: 44"
"Rest stops on this route: 25, 167"
Flag (arrows and distance) interesting features like mountains, rivers, parks, etc.UI
Easy-read mode: speed/limit and text 3X what they are now (allow people >50 in the focus groups)
Not necessary to show every irrelevant road
High contrast mode (surely we don't think pale blue on black is easy to read?)
Easier to switch, or auto switch, between miles and km between US and Canada, and UK and Europe.
Allow no destination to be set -

I have release 4.25.0.2. The changes to the format of the popups for distant events (like slow traffic in 4 miles) are nice, but now the contrast between the gray text showing the type of event doesn't contrast well with the black background. Please make it white.

This is a great idea, as I used to use a theme with a pure black (i.e. #000) background with the colors for roads and everything the default color and it was HUGELY more clear than the current ones, and worked great day or night. Ideally, I'd like custom theme functionality to be fixed, which was broken as of Waze 4.0

Incorporate a "Clean Mode" that is Easy to See and Read while driving. Larger Type and more Contrasting Graphics would help. There is too much going On... on the screen. No More Distractions!

The existing color scheme in iPhone when posting reports (hazards, police, etc) have a black background with dark gray for the choices. This type of color scheme (and lack of high contrast) makes it very difficult for a driver (or passenger) to quickly discern what option is selected. Please change the color schemes for higher contrast (black on white, etc). Thank you.

Provide a dark theme for day time, using high contrast colors for map elements. This is useful for saving battery, specially on large devices - background should be solid black.
There is a night theme, but it's not suitable for day time due to low contrast. -

The new colors, look an feel of Version 4 is horrible. It is hard to read and I can no longer report events for oncoming traffic. Give us an option to clean up the screen and change the display to a higher contrast option.

I've been a Wazer for quite a while and I love your app. My problem is there's no feedback, other than the app store. Here's some issues with the new release. The alert icons are now too small on an iPhone to be useful. The previous size was perfect. One of the things I liked about the app was the accuracy of alerts. It used to push 90%. Since the new release it is down to about 20%. Most times the event is no longer there when you reach it. You may have upped the number of "not there's" to remove it, if so, you need to back it down again. There are a LOT more network disconnects than previously. The night view needs more contrast. It is difficult to see feeder roads on an iPhone. Keep up the good work. I still love the app even with the new glitches.

What happened to all the display setting options? The new version only has two? I'm having a really hard time seeing the route in night mode. Can you please add more color display options with more contrast? Thanks

Include contrast to the selection buttons add more.
in bright environment you can hardly see little difference between selected and not selected.
