What happened to your app? It used to be so good and now hardly ever works. The gps can never find my location no matter what phone i use.

Directional improvement
It would be a good idea to just have letters displayed for the compass. Sometimes it’s difficult to determine my direction and I need to focus mostly on the road.

Issue with Waze
Waze is not working between New Jersey and Virginia. It worked in August but hasn’t been since September. Is there a server down?

Navigate to address by segment direction
Point places should show which segment they are link to, and also have the ability to set which direction A->B or B->A (A&B being the default) that one must be travelling on the segment to access that address point. Rather than having to create short divided roadways when they are not much value in that particular case.

Give the possibility to the user to inhibit Waze to be opened in CarPlay.
Sulla mia VW il sistema CarPlay è veramente fatto male. E per me sarebbe 1000 volte più comodo continuare usare Waze con me l’ho sempre usato sul telefono. Quindi sarebbe bello se ci fosse l’opzione all’interno dell’applicazione per disabilitare CarPlay.

Alert priorities
You should be able to prioritize Waze alerts. For instance, I seldom concern myself with "Vehicle on the shoulder" but they also interfere with alerts that I care more about like "Police ahead" or "Object on road" or "Crash ahead" or "Pothole ahead". I should be able to make them more important than a car on the shoulder even if they come two tenths of a mile after the meaningless Car on the shoulder.

Arrival in the area instead of the exact place
In the city there are times when you have to make a detour to reach an exact point. But if it were possible that it would drive you to the area (50m to the round, 100m, ....)
it would probably arrive faster considering that most of the times to park you do not do it right at the destination site.

Add benefit button
Please add a small transparent button that show time of next route and wazer can be select it.

Change the information about the speed of a road
When a road has a lot of traffic , waze says: the speed is under 40 km/h.
I think the information would be more useful if it is said as a percentage of the road's allowed speed: More than 80% percent - green. Between 50-80% - orange, lees than 50%, red.

When a user detours from their route - have a pop-up so they can say why
A few times I've followed Waze and it's led me to a closed road. I think I know why - there's no easy and apparent way for drivers to send Waze this feedback.
It would be great if Waze had a feature (which could be turned off and on as per the preerence of each user) that could detect when a user chooses a different route and ask for feedback as to why:-
"Missed my turning"
"Road closed"
"Route looked unappealing" (I don't know - I'm guessing at possible reasons)

Have real residents of certain cities volunteer for giving directions around their cities
I think it would be cool to have voice directions from real residents of cities to tell you where you're going. For example, I'm from Houston, TX, and I would love to do the voice directions for my city, especially since I can pronounce some of the stranger-named streets and roads.

Dear wonderful waze developers
Your app is great & wonderful. I'm sure that you have heard many great accomplishments & badly needed assistance waze has done for its users. Astounding creative useful and more.- Preview trip as in Google map desktop.
- Prepare trip according to the user's wish. (Pass on certain bridge, street, etc.)
- Memorable or favorite locations to be reminded every time the user passes. i.e. Grandma's home, observation point, worship house, favorite highway stop, favorite food facility, duty free, change of speed zone, etc.
- Find Local detours. I'd be happy to hear from you.

Aliases for waze
Simple but extremely useful. I think that you should add Aliases option. For example, if I want to travel to my friend Michael, I'll write "Michael" in the search bar or say "Michael" to the voice search and my friends house will be the first option.

Who is the JERK that took away the Prevent auto-lock option???
I just switched phones (Note 3 to a Note 9). Incoming calls now take over Waze screen, which may or may not come back after call. WTF??? Why has the Prevent auto-lock functionality been removed???
