Allow roadshields with more than 5 characters
Hi,
Would it be possible to increase the number of allowed characters for the roadshields.
In Luxembourg, for example we have roads like the "CR189A" which sadly doesn't fit into the inbox.Best Regards

Multiple opening hours per day
Having the possibility to enter multiple opening hours for each day.
Some shops are open from e.g. 09:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00. Currently you have to enter each of those times for each day seperately.11 votes -
Left panel configurability
Problem for me and apparently for many other people too is that some left panel items I frequently need are on the bottom part and need to scroll to reach those while others I very rarely need are visible all the time. Solution: Make left panel configurable in a way that you could change the order sections appear in it.
For example I would like to see History, Created by and Last edited by fields higher and would drop height and lock levels to the bottom of the list, it would result in much better usability for me.

Update Request - View recently cancelled route
It would be extremely helpful on Update Requests to provide the route/path information for a recently cancelled route.
Often users report an issue shortly after cancelling a route that gave them bad instructions. In these cases, editors can't see what the Waze app was asking them to do, versus what they actually did. Often users forget the precise details of what the bad instructions were.
If this is already permitted to some degree, perhaps widening the time window my a couple of minutes would help capture more of these.

WME Road Types
The current classification of roads on the WME follows the road types in the USA (Freeway, Major and Minor Highways and other road types).
In Europe, but I think also in other parts of the world, the classification of roads is very different. This creates problems with editing roads, as it is difficult to adapt the WME type to the real situation.
It is necessary to revise the road classification of the WME according to the real classification of each country so that each country can edit the map in a correct and more real way.26 votesThanks for your feedback. Creating an traffic event from a RTC automatically
Waze wants more traffic events additional to the RTC in order to benefit from the metadata.
Adding a larger amount of traffic events as before needs exceptionally more time and effort.- First, visiting the event tab and creating an event with name, duration etc.
- Adding the respective RTCs with again entering name and duration. 3.Again, going to the event tab and submitting the event.
This is too much work to keep up in general.
So solve this, I suggest the possibility to create an event from the closures tab automatically using the already submitted closure name and duration (as an…

Fill place data with linked Google place data if those are blank in WME
I often create a place and link Google place to it first to see/verify the address etc. Feels like very dumb double work when at least the name/city/address is in that linked Google place already, it would be very nice if WME could pull those from that entry when linking it and autofill those IF the corresponding fields are empty in place properties. And of course those must remain editable after that also.

Better usability for the turn guidance feature
Very great that we actually have an preview for the expected turn instruction in the client visible in the WME.
BUT when the input of the user exeeds the length of the preview box, the text is cut off. The text labels in the visual instruction and torwards line are capable of showing 5 letters only, it is not possible to read longer names there at once and it is prone to error (for example typos). This must be improved.
This doesn't allow easy every day editing and error correction. Draggable road shield boxes and the text labels are pending. The…

Return to Home in WME Nav Tabs
This is a small feature to add to the Nav Tabs in the top left of WME, but as I've had my region enlarged as an AM, I find myself further and further away from my main city doing edits and I have to zoom out and drag quite a lot to get back to my city. I would LOVE a simple "Home" icon in the Nav Tabs to zoom me back to a specific spot on the map. Currently my work around is to load my drives and click on a recent drive which brings me close at least.

Enable closure layer button on MTE tab
Major Traffic Events don't show in the MTE tab when the closure layer is switched off. Similar to the closure tab on segments, please add a button to enable the closure layer on the MTE tab.

Draw City Boundaries More Accurately
Currently City Boundary layers are not drawn precisely, which can result in the wrong city name being displayed to users in the app. I continue to get URs on this regularly in my area.
This issue seems to be seen commonly when cities are divided by an undulating river. Users should not be shown that they are in a city that they are not in. The system to "draw" the city layer should rely on more data points to draw a more accurate city layer. I will attach screenshots to show this more clearly.https://www.waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lon=-122.59338&lat=49.19848&zoom=2

conditional tolls
There are some toll segments that go pretty paralell to the public roads, so time savings are more related to traffic (<5 min when comparing vs toll roads).
Waze always will choose the toll segment but for a regular wazer time savings will not be enough to use toll vs public road.
A conditional that let waze to avoid tolls when savings are less than X minutes will help wazers pockets.4 votes -
Disable lane guidance on some intersections
It would be great to disable lane guidance on some intersections, so the user will not view the next lane guidance until he cross the intersection.

Closing URs that are no more in your editing area
I can edit the area of a UR when I first answer it because it is in my edit area. But sometimes I do reach the expiry date of the editing area in the middle of working on this UR. Because of that, I can't even close the UR I started working on.
It would be great if there will be an option to close a UR you started working on even if this UR is now outside of your editing area.29 votes -
Seasonal Roads
In almost every climate, there is some time of seasonal weather condition that closes roads at least temporarily during a season.
For example, in the winter, some municipalities will not plow certain roads where the roads are not servicing any addresses. These roads are legally open, but may not be passable by most vehicles except during periods of melt or the end of the season melt. In other areas, seasonal rains or snowmelt mean that dirt roads are impassible to most vehicles several days at a time due to mud, but are usable in drier spells during that season. Because…

Ambulance & Rescue Categories
Add an "ambulance service" category covering paid and volunteer ambulance companies that don't provide firefighting services.

Highlight node closures
It would be good if there can be a marking of closures if they contain junction node closures. If there are multiple closures on segments (daily from 7-15 for 4 weeks, for example), and you want to change the node closures, it's not possible to determine which have it and which don't without going into the closure. If you then go back out, you return to the top of the list of closures, so it's tedious to keep track where you were.

Disable automatic kinetic / inertial panning of the map
With decent search functions and new zoom levels, I feel that the kinetic panning of the map behavior is not necessary. I sometimes find it to be a nuisance since I tend to pan the map past my intended point sometimes. Currently, I use a script to make the map static and find this behavior much better to direct.
