Drawing similar type segments
In WME Advanced Preferences, similar to the option to “Draw new roads as two-way,” add an option to be able to change the default Road Type to something other than Street.
Helpful when adding a new highway/freeway or a parking lot where all the segment types are the same, I would like to check a box in the Preferences to either “Draw all segments as [Road Type selection]” or “Default Road Type [selection]”

Update UR editor reply email
Below is the email Waze currently sends when an editor replies to a UR reporter:
From: Waze Map Editor no-reply@waze.com
Subject: A comment on a map issue you reportedHi <Reporter Username>,
You received a comment on the map issue you reported, from <Date> on <Road Name>, <City> - “<UR Description>”. An editor from the Waze mapping community wants to solve the problem, but needs some more information.
<Editor Username> on <Date/Time>:

Disable Permanent Hazards on Non-Driveable Roads and Pedestrian Paths
Disable the ability for permanent hazards to be snapped to and/or placed on non-driveable roads (runway and railroad) and pedestrian paths (routable, non-routable, and stairway) in WME. PHs intended for driveable roads at junctions with these road/path types can be accidentally placed on the incorrect non-driveable segment. While easy to check and correct when placing, this could preemptively prevent mistakes.

Save all native WME client settings on server side
Base WME client settings are only saved to the local machine, as every time you log in somewhere on a new workstation, you have to go restore your preferences such as Environment, Language, Imperial/Metric, Compact Mode, Transparent Arrows, etc.
However, with the implementation of Issue Tracker, saved filter settings are immediately accessible upon a new login, proving that WME user settings can be saved at the server end.
Please save all native WME settings on the server side so that they are already in place when an existing editor logs in on a new workstation for the first time.

Add Driving Restriction option to enable Toll flag for specific date / time / vehicle settings
Driving Restrictions currently has Allowed, Toll Free, Prohibited
But we also need an option to explicitly set Toll EnabledWe have a road that operates as a Toll road for all vehicles 6-9am but then changes to not a Toll road (also for all vehicles) from 9:01am to 5:59am the following day.
We can't use the Toll Free option as there isn't a subset of vehicles that are not charged a Toll during this time period.
Also setting a Toll Free period 9:01 to 5:59 has no impact as the driving restriction is only checked during the hours its active…

Allow residential places to be moved farther from their "parent" street
Currently, it is generally not possible to create a RPP at, or move an existing one to, a location more than (approximately) 550 m from a segment that has the same street name as the RPP. However, in rural areas of the United States, it is not unheard-of for houses to be located much farther than that from the nearest road. Suggestion: increase the allowed distance for RPPs to at least 1,500 m (no objection if this would require a higher editing level to accomplish than the default R1 for creating an RPP).

More complexity for Residential place point house numbers
More Complexity was adder for House Numbers when using House numbering -feature. However, there is still restrictions when adding Residential place point.
Because It's not possible to use House numbering feature in country side where houses are far away from named road.
" As a WME user I want to add House number format for example 180-7 for residential place, in a case when houses are far away from named road"

Allow for issue tracker to show results in descending order
Currently the default view of issue tracker results is ascending (newest to oldest.) It would be nice to allow the results to show in reverse (oldest to newest.) Sometimes I want to address the oldest issues first so that there are not so many backlogged.

Add oblique imagery (birds eye view) from GMaps to WME
To allow editors a more comprehensive view of an area and to provide an additional data layer of imagery, use the already-available oblique imagery from GMaps in WME.
Oblique imagery allows for a 360° view of a location so we would need a new icon to allow for cycling around the 4 'quadrants' of the imagery.

Include temporary settings like HOV route selection in UR information
Relatively recently we got the ability to see some app settings in user reports. What we can't see are temporary settings like whether or not an HOV route was selected. It would be helpful to surface any information available that does not compromise anonymity.

Make the UR Issues Tracker a Tracker and not a Filter
Currently the Issues Tracker is not a tracker, but rather a filter because it hides other URs (issues) on the map.
Ad an option not to hide URs on the map and display the default view (default setting in tracker)... so yes, we need to have some default options (that each user can change)... and when this option not to hide URs on the map to display the default view (including URs).
For example:
I always leave everything to see on my map - my default.
When searching for new URs or looking for URs with answers from reporters, I…127 votesWe plan to work on creating an issue tracker for UR in the near future.

Two-Way Traffic Ahead Permanent Hazard
This permanent hazard would warn users that the road they are travelling on transitions from one-way to two-way traffic. This would not be used for sections of road where traffic gives way to oncoming traffic temporarily (see the suggestion for Narrow Road Permanent Hazard), but instead for roads that are one-way only for a distance and suddenly transition to two-way, as to warn the user that there will be oncoming traffic.
• Ex 1: Drivers heading south on the one-way must be in the right lane to continue onto the two-way road, where traffic from the opposing two-way direction does…

Narrow Road Permanent Hazard
This permanent hazard would warn users of an upcoming section of narrower road width that has traffic and/or safety considerations. Potential applications include:
Areas where a two-way road transitions to a single-lane width where opposing traffic must alternate/give way through the narrow section

Expand character limit for the name of an MTE
Currently the character limit for the name of an MTE is 25. Common MTE names often come very close or exceed 25 characters, such as "Electric Ave Bridge Replacement" (31 characters). It would be helpful to have the character count increased, possibly by another 10-20 or more.

Issue Tracker Saved Filter: Should be able to modify/edit an already saved filter
I should be able to modify or edit an already saved search.
When saving a new filter, a dropdown of saved searches should be displayed, and if one is selected, an overwrite warning should appear. This should be alongside a "create new filter" option.

Roads with permits for residents only
Very often there are streets that can only be used by residents.
It would be useful to be able to set the segments on the WME "residents only".
This way only those who add their home address on those streets in to the app will be able to use them.
It is different from editing a road as private, because it would only allow access to residents, whereas now if you search for a destination on a private road everyone can access it.37 votesThanks for your feedback. Manage closures in the Issue Tracker menu
Live closures are one of the most important contributions that editors can make to the Waze map
The functionality of viewing past closures on the map has recently been added, which adds complexity to the view.
This suggestion involves managing closures from the Issue Tracker, allowing you to filter those that have been completed, those that are about to expire, or those within a period of time; or by zones in the same way as the UR, PUR or MP
I guess this sug includes this one: https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59225-map-editor-suggestions/suggestions/47514620-show-only-active-closures and this one https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59225-map-editor-suggestions/suggestions/45584869-move-closures-history-to-the-closures-tab162 votesThanks for submitting a suggestion! Unsaved edits - apply to map without saving
Related to this announcement:
if there were an option to simply “apply” the unsaved edits to the map, without saving them (basically treat the unsaved edits as a draft) that would be awesome. Sometimes the browser crashes or something gets in a weird state while doing a complex edit (common use case where this happens a lot is dividing roads for the falcon snapper) and I have to start over.
I think the times when I have a crash in a place where I'm actually ready to save my changes are much rarer than when I'm in the middle…

Add general destination information to URs
URs have been improved by adding more information in WME 2.206, and it would be nice to continue to add information that doesn't jeopardize the privacy of the reporter.
My idea would be to add information on how the stop point of a user's route was obtained - whether it be a house number, house number interpolation, RPP, Google address, Waze place, Google place, etc. Specifics on the geographic location wouldn't be needed, it would just be very beneficial to know how the stop point was chosen. We get a lot of URs complaining about navigation ending at the wrong…
