Issue Tracker: Stop defaulting to All Issues - remember last saved filter selected
If you don't have a Pinned Save Filter, Waze should remember the last Save Filter selected rather than reverting back to "All Issues".
If I'm working on a Saved Filter, and need to refresh, it's more than likely I want to continue working on that same filter afterwards.

Allow choice in HN street name
Hi
Certain streets have a different name or city depending of side.
It would be great to allow, when adding HNs, editors to specify what name we want to assigne to it when alternate bloc is filled. Thanks
28 votesApologies, but we won't be able to prioritize adding this to the WME at this time.
Many thanks to all who pushed for this suggestion. We will update if/when this is able to be added.

Link points POI to an Area POI
Hi guys,
The idea is to link points POI to a Area POI.
For example, linking stores in a Mall or linking a company office in a building.
It's also to avoid this kind of editions : https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon ... 157&zoom=6.
I think this will help editors to determinate which stores or companies are present in a Mall/building and help user to use the right entry to go to shopping or working.
It will be a plus if you can also link, a point POI entry on an Area POI entry.by Ardillon42

Thank you for this suggestion.
The work around this topic is related to a bigger changes and improvements in the WME which were not prioritise.
Therefore, this is currently not planned.

Street Parking
We have parking lot roads that cover most parking situations, but there's not a great mechanism for handling street parking on public streets where it doesn't make sense to mark a road as a parking lot road. Examples: Many residential neighborhoods, many downtown areas.
Suggestion is to add a flag to all driveable road types except freeway and PLR/PR to indicate "street parking is allowed", along with pricing information similar to how we handle parking lot areas. This could be part of the next phase of the parking project.

WME Road Types
The current classification of roads on the WME follows the road types in the USA (Freeway, Major and Minor Highways and other road types).
In Europe, but I think also in other parts of the world, the classification of roads is very different. This creates problems with editing roads, as it is difficult to adapt the WME type to the real situation.
It is necessary to revise the road classification of the WME according to the real classification of each country so that each country can edit the map in a correct and more real way.26 votesThanks for your feedback. Tell us if the reporter closes their own report
(Copied from https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1525&t=228417)
Please tell us if the reporter has closed their own UR (don't need to know their username).
Quite often a UR is closed by an editor, and it gives their username in the email and closed UR. The problem is we aren't told if this is just some random editor, or the reporter themselves.
It annoys me when an editors closes URs without comment, as it goes against etiquette, but I wouldn't be so bothered if I knew it was the original reporter. If it wasn't the original reporter, then we could follow up with the…

Share location permalink type
In the Share Location popup, when in beta WME, please consider adding option to change permalink to Production WME.
This is to allow easy sharing of the permalink to all users.25 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

New Permanent hazard: Check-point
In many countries, fixed check-points are installed on the road. It could be done by Police, Customs, Tax services, Weight check... and even borders.
It would be great to have those marqued on the map as permanent Hazard " Check point". It has basically the same effect of a toll booth: You often need to stop there, or a least drive through at a very reduced speed.
This would be a great safety enhancement for both drivers and those manning those check points.

Enforce better minimum segment lengths
WME currently allows segment lengths down to 1 m. However, editors are told that Waze will not measure traffic speeds accurately over such short segments and that mapping them could degrade the end-user experience. Different regions may have different recommendations for minimum segment length, but if anybody knows the best minimum length, it should be Waze itself. If Waze will not function properly with extremely short segment lengths, then WME should not allow them.
24 votesHi all,
Thanks for this suggestion. We currently have other features which can account for this, like Roadshields and the towards option.
Editors should continue to avoid creating short segments where they aren't necessary, however this issue will be resolved by other future feature releases.
Many thanks,
Waze Communities Team

Editing permissions - change request
I suggest to chane some editing pernissions as follows (the current required level is given in parenthisis):
- Giving a "narrow street" road type to a segment: 3 (1)
- Entering a TBR / TBTR (this includes difficult turn and toll road designation): 3 (1)
- Enter a turn instruction override: 3 (1)
- Delete a segment that someone else created: 3 (2)
- Create a new MTE: 4 (1)
- View RTC details (view only): 1 (4)
- View of house numbers: 1 (2)

Temporary downgrade of own editor level
I’d like to suggest in the WME a switch (perhaps in the user control panel) for downgrading the own editor level.
For example:
If I’m a level 5 Editor, but only want to edit simple streets which are only on level 1, i can switch my own editor level to something lower than 5 for this action. This would prevent myself for accidental editing more important street e.g. highways.
Compare this with an account in the IT… Even if I am an administrator… I shouldn’t be logged in always as an admin but just as a normal user with rights…21 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Set GPS point color by age in WME
Please set the color of GPS points in WME by age instead of direction, The direction is already indicated by the direction of the arrow. Editors need to know how old the tracks are to see changing traffic patterns.

Types of electronic toll
As you know, if you plan a route through highways containing segments with the option “electronic toll” enabled, a time penalty will be added to the final estimated time of route. (3 minutes for each electronic toll, right?)
Here in Portugal we have 2 different types of electronic toll:
-> Type 1 - You need to reduce speed (Electronic reader) or stop (Manual ticket) to cross the toll.
-> Type 2 - You don’t need to reduce speed or stop to cross the toll.So there should be a time penalty on type 1 but not on type 2, but…
19 votesThank you for the suggestion, but this sort of update to the Toll feature is not on the WME roadmap.

Increase the four types of fuel limit to map editors
Map editors have only four types of fuel to select and due to this incompatible diesel types or GNV can not be searched in waze.

Edit favorites on the map editor
Enable favorite editing in map editor. This would be an easier way to make include of several favorites or POIs help in planning a trip.
Ideally it would allow planning with historic traffic data (similar to Google Maps) allowing to establish the travel time between them and estimate the arrival time .
Alternatively the Waze can import the saved locations from Google Maps, so it should be possible to link the Waze has Google Maps account.

New Feature Request - When a photo must be rejected
It would be nice to have a comment window or a multi-choice button list in WME to send to the Wazer who submitted a rejectable photo so that we can tell them why the photo is being rejected:
- This photo shows a person's face
- This photo is too blurry
- This photo shows a license plate
- This photo is not helpful in identifying the place
...and so forth. It would be something more than just "this does not meet our community standards."

Custom layers for map editor.
It could be helpful in map editing, if users could add their own layers. Just for their own use, for example shape or wms.
Users may have access to local map layers that they can use to add landmarks or edit roads. At the moment I can only rely on blurry bing aerial map, gps tracks and memory.14 votesThanks for your feedback. Require Place Update Request approvers to confirm deletions & other major changes
Please add an extra layer of confirmation before saving in WME, if approving a PUR would remove a Place, change it from an Area to a Point, or change it from Public to Residential (all actions that delete a lot of data).
A change of the place's primary name should also require an extra layer of confirmation before saving, this is even more common than deletion although less immediately destructive.
Why do I bring this up? A Rank 6 editor, or possibly Waze staff, recently deleted the Area Place for San Francisco International Airport. It had been locked at Rank…
