The fact that all segments entering a Junction Box are 'locked' is a real pain. Why not do a little 'behind the curtain magic'.
Here is how I suggest you do this: when any segment entering a JB is 'touched' in a way that would currently cause a 'flag' to warn the user that the segment is locked, WME would instead 'take a quick snapshot' of everything involved in the JB and save that information.
A pseudo picture of the JB would be created where every segment entering the JB would be 'cut' where it crosses the boarder line of the JB.
The portion of each segment within the JB would retain the current segment # and other information as appropriate. The portion of…29 votes -
Disable closures' tab on non-drivable segments
It is suggested to disable the closures tab when selecting non-drivable segments (staurway, railroad, PBW, WT). It has no effect on routing and it distracts the attention of the driver.

Issue Tracker: Stop defaulting to All Issues - remember last saved filter selected
If you don't have a Pinned Save Filter, Waze should remember the last Save Filter selected rather than reverting back to "All Issues".
If I'm working on a Saved Filter, and need to refresh, it's more than likely I want to continue working on that same filter afterwards.

School Zone excluded segment ID option
Currently, we can exclude based on road types, which in most cases is sufficient. However, there are times that we may need to exclude a segment that is the same road type in the school zone because of cross traffic.
For example, in the image below, the school zone is on a mH. I can exclude the FWY with no concerns, but the 2 yellow arrows point out some mH segments that I can't currently exclude. The issue is that if I am driving either of those routes, I will get a School Zone alert, and eventually a reduced SL,…

Allow choice in HN street name
Hi
Certain streets have a different name or city depending of side.
It would be great to allow, when adding HNs, editors to specify what name we want to assigne to it when alternate bloc is filled. Thanks

Link points POI to an Area POI
Hi guys,
The idea is to link points POI to a Area POI.
For example, linking stores in a Mall or linking a company office in a building.
It's also to avoid this kind of editions : https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon ... 157&zoom=6.
I think this will help editors to determinate which stores or companies are present in a Mall/building and help user to use the right entry to go to shopping or working.
It will be a plus if you can also link, a point POI entry on an Area POI entry.by Ardillon42

Make RPPs a bright pink
Change the colour of the RPP from a camouflaged dusky pink (same shade used to literally camouflage reconnaissance Spitfires in WWII) to a bright pink like #fa0584 to make it more visible in urban backgrounds.

Filter Segment Closures
It would be great to have the option to filter closures on a segment. e.g. Hide all finished by default, only display active closures, only display upcoming closures etc

Remember orientation when dragging Street View handle
When the Street View handle is dragged onto the map and subsequently moved again, the orientation snaps to north. It would be helpful to maintain the current heading so that when moving the handle along a street the heading doesn't have to be repeatedly rotated back parallel with the street.

WME Road Types
The current classification of roads on the WME follows the road types in the USA (Freeway, Major and Minor Highways and other road types).
In Europe, but I think also in other parts of the world, the classification of roads is very different. This creates problems with editing roads, as it is difficult to adapt the WME type to the real situation.
It is necessary to revise the road classification of the WME according to the real classification of each country so that each country can edit the map in a correct and more real way.26 votesThanks for your feedback. Road height restriction.
To display road height restrictions for all tp yoe of vehicles. Some waze users does not select type of vehicle. At certain road, there are height restriction, if there is a notification when waze navigate trhough fastest routes it would be helpful for drivers.

Tell us if the reporter closes their own report
(Copied from https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1525&t=228417)
Please tell us if the reporter has closed their own UR (don't need to know their username).
Quite often a UR is closed by an editor, and it gives their username in the email and closed UR. The problem is we aren't told if this is just some random editor, or the reporter themselves.
It annoys me when an editors closes URs without comment, as it goes against etiquette, but I wouldn't be so bothered if I knew it was the original reporter. If it wasn't the original reporter, then we could follow up with the…

New Permanent hazard: Check-point
In many countries, fixed check-points are installed on the road. It could be done by Police, Customs, Tax services, Weight check... and even borders.
It would be great to have those marqued on the map as permanent Hazard " Check point". It has basically the same effect of a toll booth: You often need to stop there, or a least drive through at a very reduced speed.
This would be a great safety enhancement for both drivers and those manning those check points.

Enforce better minimum segment lengths
WME currently allows segment lengths down to 1 m. However, editors are told that Waze will not measure traffic speeds accurately over such short segments and that mapping them could degrade the end-user experience. Different regions may have different recommendations for minimum segment length, but if anybody knows the best minimum length, it should be Waze itself. If Waze will not function properly with extremely short segment lengths, then WME should not allow them.

Temporary downgrade of own editor level
I’d like to suggest in the WME a switch (perhaps in the user control panel) for downgrading the own editor level.
For example:
If I’m a level 5 Editor, but only want to edit simple streets which are only on level 1, i can switch my own editor level to something lower than 5 for this action. This would prevent myself for accidental editing more important street e.g. highways.
Compare this with an account in the IT… Even if I am an administrator… I shouldn’t be logged in always as an admin but just as a normal user with rights…24 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Unsaved edits - apply to map without saving
Related to this announcement:
if there were an option to simply “apply” the unsaved edits to the map, without saving them (basically treat the unsaved edits as a draft) that would be awesome. Sometimes the browser crashes or something gets in a weird state while doing a complex edit (common use case where this happens a lot is dividing roads for the falcon snapper) and I have to start over.
I think the times when I have a crash in a place where I'm actually ready to save my changes are much rarer than when I'm in the middle…

Different speed limits for School zone Polygon depending on Entry Point
When creating School zones, i encounter the weird situation where the same segment has 2 different speeds, for example: when you go Southbound is 25mph school zone and for the same street but going Northbound the speeed is 15mph. in this case we will use the lowest speed but this wont be accurate, as the alert is telling users that the School zone is 15mph, mean while they going Southbound where the School sign shows 25mph, so this would create URs, complaining about the proper speed for the Soutbound lane, and this is what this suggestions is intended for so…
