Change Color on Future Closure Arrows to Grey
If there is a two way segment that has an active closure in one direction and a future closure in the other direction it appears in WME like a two way closure.
This is because the arrows for current closures and future closures are both solid black.
I am suggesting that the arrows for future closures be changed from Black to Grey.
This would give a better indication of what is occurring and what is scheduled.
Will post pictures later.
This occurs in both WME production and WME Beta w/o scripts.

Pictures:
Current Closure one way A-B (Active in app) - Attachment 1
Future Closure one way B-A (Not Active in app) - Attachment 2
Current Closure and Future Closure on same segment with different directions - Attachment 3
Notice the final picture looks like it is a two way current closure.
If the images are stacked would like to have the Current active closure on top so that you see the read and white closure symbol on the road segment and the one or two black arrows.
Then have the future closure under the active closure. You would not see the grey and white closure symbol since the active red and white one would be on top but if there was not a current closure in one direction but only future closure(s) in that direction then there would be a grey arrow displayed. One arrow would be black to show the current closure direction and one arrow would be grey to show there was a future closure in that direction.
If there was a current closure in both directions then both arrows would be black and the future closure(s)' arrow would not be displayed.

This suggestion is now available in WME production, and it’s the first suggestion to be implemented in our new process!
Congratulations !!

How about this?
(Attached)That's a segment with a future A->B closure and a live B->A closure. It requires the addition of a single line of CSS:
CODE: SELECT ALL
.inactive > .arrow { filter: contrast(0.5) }As is common with WME, the arrow and closure symbols are actually part of a larger image and WME displays the parts of the image it needs in each location. The image contains separate red & grey closure signs, but only one black arrow. Adding the CSS above to the page obviates the need to add a grey arrow to the image resource.
I also agree that this would be a great idea. So good, I'm going to add it to my WME FixUI script right now.
The only question is whether or not I even need to make it optional.by iainhouse

This is a great idea, and should be a really easy and simple improvement that only requires replacing a couple of image assets.
I'm told by others who are better at digging into WME than me that the closure indicator in this case is just two images on top of each other: a one-way grey future closure icon underneath with its own arrow showing beside it, and then a one-way red active closure icon on top with the other arrow. The active red circle covers the grey circle below, but both arrows show by virtue of being on the side.
If that is true (that the "icon" in this situation is just two stacked images), changing the arrows to grey on the future closure icon image asset would fix the situation by itself.
