I suggest you offer a "first mile/last mile" feature. I don't need the app to tell me how to leave my neighborhood, and at a certain point on the return I also don't need instructions. It would be nice to be able to tell the app to start/stop giving directions after a certain point, altho the entire route should still appear on the map.

This could be implemented with the 'home' and 'work' location functions to avoid users appearing on the map when they've been stationary at a predefined location for a long period of time.
