Not only for playing media stored locally. I'm using TuneIn as I like to listen to radio on the way but due to TuneIn's policies there are a lot of radio stations that stopped working with them. This is really bad because now I have to switch between different apps while driving. If VLC would be integrated into Waze I could just load my streaming URLs there and change them much easier.
