An app that claims to help drivers in everyday life MUST help them to park. Now, since Waze knows where a user parks when is going somewhere I think that it should aggregate all this information to suggest spots where users headed to similar places usually park their car.
Specifically Waze, instead of guiding drivers to their destination in center where there is no parking at all, should suggest minor roads where they can find a parking spot with an alert that like "Hey, you should park as soon as you can, because it is difficult to find a spot if you go further. Users usually find park in this road" and evidence on the map secondary roads that tend to have empty parkings spots.
And obviously this information should be time sensitive: if it midnight and the town is empty the app might suggest to park within 10 meters from the destination, if it is a rush hour the alert would appear 500-800 meters before the destination.
Finally, your maps should know if there is a free parking or a parking-meter at the sides of the roads, so you should also improve your database.
