Two stop points for the same place would also be very useful for for railroad stations with road access from two sides, but without a nearby car road crossing the railroad. This would be valuable when you are to drop off, or pick up, someone at the railroad station. As pedestrians can cross the railroad (through a tunnel) they are equally well of at either side.
Waze giving directions to the closest stopping point would save time so that your friend is able to catch the train in time. It would also minimize driving distance if you are routed to the western stop point when you approach the station from west, and vice versa.
In my example (Åkarp station, Åkarp, Sverige) there is only 1 km to drive around to reach the other side of tracks but the (two track) railroad is very busy so you could be waiting at the level crossing barriers for 10 minutes. Of course you could take another route but then it's 7 km to drive.
