I needed to plan a trip so I scanned a waze QR code from my computer to my phone.

When it opened the link it allowed me only to either navigate now (or later) but I simply wanted to save it (either in my history by clicking GO then Stop) then I could find it easily tomorrow in my history.

Or simply just allow me to add location to favorites. Since it wasn’t possible I had to:

    Copy my destination coordinates
    Email them to me
    Search them in waze
    Save to favorites

Quite a waste of time and complicated way to save a location to favorites / history.

The best would have been if I could:

    Scan a QR code
    Save to favorites / history.

Then tomorrow when I go out of my house I already have everything ready.

It’s kind of silly that I have to scan a QR only if I intend to leave right away.

A qr usually is to scan from a screen to mobile. Something that i likely to happen by users who scan a computer screen with their mobile (or scanning any other waze QR code displayed on any other kind of surface).

And not always the need is to schedule a ride or to start the ride straight away.

Some people simply want to save it for later.

This would be a great simple and useful feature that saves a lot of manual work.
