This issue has been brought up in other suggestions so voting seems low, but its the same problem. Horizontal mode alert bubbles are immense, mostly empty and extremely intrusive, making visual usage of the app impossible. The only remedies, are flipping the phone vertical, constantly tapping the screen to remove the alert, which is distracting and useless, or to disable all alerts, which is not a reasonable solution.

The distribution is indeed poor. If that was not bad enough, alerts are in a mostly empty and insanely large bubble that blocks the map exactly where the vehicle icon is.
