    First select category (restaurant, gas, lodging etc) or specific (Chili's restaurant). Then ideally selectable parameters, like within the next 30 minutes, within an hour, 1-2 hours away, etc. Then also within 10 minutes off route, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, any, etc. After choosing those search parameter Waze calculates choices.
    Then there's a preview of the route with the detour and estimate how much time it adds (less stopped time) before selecting it.
