We need an API to allow adding events programatically from another app.
From my own and others experience, it is cumbersome and *dangerous* to broadcast events while driving.
In order to experiment with other ways of broadcasting traffic data and the like while driving, we need an API to allow other sources of input ( for example, I can interface with Sony's smartband API etc)
