    I just changed my car and the new one has an athermic windshield, so the GPS signal is too weak inside the car.
    Waze becomes useless because the location is not longer precise enough to keep the car on the road. Maps uses the car GPS device and works fine. BTW, no notifications for radars and dangers.
    It will be a killer feature for Android Auto and not very complex to implement, maybe just a tick on the settings page to choose between internal or car GPS when in Android Auto mode. Providers are easy to detect and switch using the Android API ;)
