An error occurred while saving the comment Ron Lambert commentedBeen searching all over the interwebs and this is the very first reference to Waze actually working in auto via Android Auto and I'm assuming the Automobile's built in display feature - in my case, a 2022 Ford Maverick with both Android Auto & ApplePlay or whatever that's called support to it's in screen. I absolutely cannot find the solution to even have Waze take over/replace Google Maps. Or maybe I am just assuming by the date of this post that the OP is on Android v12 OS which seems to be the problem?

An error occurred while saving the comment Ron Lambert commentedPlease! Make this possible as I just got a new 2022 Ford Maverick that actually has "Android Auto" and built into the in-vehicle screen! I just spent over an hour trying to figure out if I was doing something wrong or what because apparently as mentioned in a thread on here elsewhere, this use to be selectable prior to Android v12 in regards to replacing "Google Maps" to "Waze". I am starting to get satisfied just using Google Maps yet will miss the features "Waze" adds/has and would much prefer keeping Waze as my goto navigation app, yet not sacrificing the "In Vehicle Screen" / Android Auto usability if this is not possible. Thank you

To the original poster. Just confirming if you don't mind, are you using "Waze" - Android Auto & in vehicle's display on Android v12 by chance? Something seems to have changed and I can't get any navigation app except Google's -Maps Assistant or whatever Google calls it?
