Improved Google Assistant Integration on Android Auto
The overall issue with Waze seems to be that the phone app is better built than the Android Auto app, which wouldn't be a problem were it not for the fact that it has led to borderline non-existent communication between the Android Auto version of the Google Assistant and the Android Auto Waze app. This problem leads to two main issues: drivers can't report hazards without taking one of their hands off the wheel and their eyes off the road unless they have a passenger on board, and if the driver uses the Google Assistant to ask for directions the assistant will pass the location onto Waze but then Waze forces the driver to use the touch screen to confirm that the location is correct. This to me is ridiculous, especially since Google now owns Waze. Put simply, Waze and the Google Assistant on Android Auto need to communicate with each other a lot better than they currently do.

Also, make the selection of the favorite locations selectable by the voice with the Google assistant. I wish I could have a way when I started driving already to go to a favorite location recorded by voice , instead of trying to find it with the touch screen and hope it's not down the scrolling list cause screen will freeze for security reason because the car is moving

In addition make it possible to share route, ETA and current location by a voice command using the Google Assistent.

For Carplay or Android Auto upvote these suggestions to allow submitting road closures.

https://tinyurl.com/WazeAA-ClosuresThey need to integrate Map Issue Reports with Google Assistant. "Ok Google, Report Map Issue." Then prompt the driver for details via voice-to-text.

Been searching all over the interwebs and this is the very first reference to Waze actually working in auto via Android Auto and I'm assuming the Automobile's built in display feature - in my case, a 2022 Ford Maverick with both Android Auto & ApplePlay or whatever that's called support to it's in screen. I absolutely cannot find the solution to even have Waze take over/replace Google Maps. Or maybe I am just assuming by the date of this post that the OP is on Android v12 OS which seems to be the problem?
