Agree with others for instructional text in the HUD (windshield) with CarPlay. This feature is an advantage when using Apple Maps.
Please also put instructional text in the instrument cluster (behind steering wheel).
As a previous poster already mentioned, a very small development team called Clutch Engineering has basic navigation function in an app called Sidecar: https://sidecar.clutch.engineering/
They have successfully implemented HUD functionality recently, along with other widgets in the instrument cluster, demonstrating that others aside from Apple can absolutely do this.
