I would like to suggest a new feature for Waze: Phone as a Head-Up Display (HUD) mode.

When the phone is mounted in a position suitable for HUD use (typically on the dashboard or windshield), Waze should offer a dedicated HUD display mode that shows the following critical information in a simplified, easy-to-read format:

    1. **Current Speed** - Display the vehicle's current speed prominently, so I can monitor it without looking down at my phone.

    2. **Speed Limit** - Show the current road's speed limit next to the current speed, allowing me to compare and stay within legal limits.

    3. **Direction** - Display the current driving direction (e.g., N, NE, S, W) to help with orientation.

    4. **Next Directions** - Show upcoming turn instructions with distance to the maneuver, replacing the need to glance at the full map.

    5. **Number of Lanes** - Display the lane count for the current and upcoming road segments, helping me choose the correct lane in advance.

This HUD mode would greatly improve driving safety by reducing the need to look away from the road, keeping my eyes on the windshield area where the phone's reflection can serve as a heads-up display. It would be especially useful for drivers who mount their phones higher up on their dashboards or windshields.

Thank you for considering this feature!
