Heads up Display (HUD)
make an heads up display icon so that the user can place it on their dash and the reflection will show up on the windshield.. for night time driving whee it is safer to stare closer to the road versus looking down...other apps use this idea but they dont have the GPS ability..it will set waze apart from all other GPS systems..and make it look extra cool!

At least 11 years Waze’er have wanted a simple screen flip option for HUDing the app. Can’t imagine it would be difficult to do. Am I missing something?

If you use a vent clip, you can put your phone pretty close to your normal viewing area when driving. My concern with a HUD for night driving is hindering the ability to see (but I've never driven a car with a HUD feature before).

HUD is safer and more effective for night time driving reflecting the map on the windshield,or in my case the windscreen of my bike. This would make night driving/ riding safer as the operator will be able to keep their eyes on the road and only needs to adjust focus of their eyes to read the map.

Tricky to implement on a scooter screen, I guess.
However, isn't there some sort of LCD flexi film tech?
So could put LCD film on screen and Bluetooth to it?

I'm hard of hearing and I have to keep looking at the display. HUD on the dash would make night driving so much safer for me.

Love Waze, but it needs a HUD option! I can't stand the available HUD nav apps!

Please, just a simple fix for this!

There are many third party HUD apps that displays a mirrored HUD on the device screen so when it gets reflected in the windshield it shows the unmirrored image. Please add this feature to Waze! It could be as something as simple as a "mirrored mode" that would simply reverse the current map view so people could see it from their windshield. It would be even better if it's a dedicated HUD view.

Falta a opção HUD, para inverter a imagem e utilizar nos carros mais novos e aparelhos, não sendo obrigado a usar outros app de mapas.

Combined with Android Auto it would be a nice feature.

I and many other friends love Waze bit cannot use it because we use a heads up display device that basically is like a see through mirror. however when I use this with an app that does not allow me to invert the view everything shows up backwards

To expand on this idea, please consider integrations into HUDs that are already installed in vehicles. My BMW 3 Series now has Apple Maps navigation instructions displaying in the factory-installed HUD. I would love to see Waze do the same thing.

I recently noticed that Apple Maps has begun displaying navigation instructions in the HUD in my BMW 3 Series via CarPlay. I would love to see Waze expand into this as well.

Une fonction serait bien appréciable, c'est la fonction HUD ou head up display.
Cette amélioration est elle réalisable

Does the HUD support interaction with CarPlay/Android Auto, or does it only work with the factory Nav?
