    I also had the same problem. WAZE MUST make it mandatory that during sign up, you need to add either a cell phone number and/or an email account. My problem is that I wasn't sure of the password. I DID NOT want to lose my history; nor did I want to lose my Ranking or my crown, etc... ! So, this is what I did which worked. You at first would have to know your login. AND it won't work for everyone unless you've made a previous backup of your phone.
    Step 1, Make a backup of your iPhone now !!!!
    Step 2, do a restore of a previous backup at a time when your iPhone automatically logged into the Waze App.
    Step 3, after the restore, go into Waze and change the password ! Then go to a computer to Waze.com and test your login code and password.
    Step 4, Within the Waze App, go to settings and add your cell phone number and an email account. You'll be glad you did !
    Step 5, Do a restore again of the most recent backup in Step 1.
    Step 6, Go to the Waze up and use the password that you changed it to. Done !
