When routing and a major city is in the route, give the driver the option to avoid the city proper. This will help people who are not familiar with the names/numbers of roads that lead into a major city that Waze may take them on. This would also be great because a driver may want to keep some of the navigation rules but avoid city traffic at all costs. Example: Last night Waze brought me INTO DC rather than going around it on one of the major highways. That is NEVER a faster route especially for someone who doesn't know the city and doesn't want to drive there...ever....but gets stuck doing so at night in the rain (still rather upset at Waze for that). There are just some cities people would rather avoid at all costs than drive through.
