    The cops are removing them for the simple fact that the alerts help curtail their revenue gathering activities. There is nothing right or good about speed traps. Speed limits don't create a safer drive and tickets don't curtail speeding. It's extortion plain and simple.

    I'm pretty sure the majority of Waze users appreciate this feature. The bootlickers among us apparently don't. If I were Waze I would aim to please the majority of my customers.

    Suggestion: An alert has to be up for say, 20-30 minutes before anyone can "not there" it.

    I suggest putting a time limit on the police alert. It stays for 20-30 minutes, then there is the option to remove it. The highway bandits (cops) are definitely doing this. I live in Texas and alerts I've posted have disappeared within a couple minutes of posting them.
