I suggest removing the top bar that displays turns while driving, and replacing it with a floating turn-indicator icon.
Remove the top navigation bar used for turn-by-turn directions while driving, and instead display each turn as a floating icon—similar to notification icons—since the current bar takes up too much screen space.
