What's really annoying is getting those notifications when you're not even using the app. For example when you are at work and it keeps making your phone vibrate and ring or when you are in bed and it wakes you from a deep sound sleep. Its as simple as adding the feature to disable notifying you when you get new emails from other Wazers, but without disabling notifications from the system settings. If you disable notifications from the android system settings, then waze doesn't stay in top bar when momentarily switching to another app. PLEASE add an option to "Stop notifying me when I get new emails."

I say we all band together and protest this failure to hear our request and stop providing real time updates. The whole premis of waze is to have the users provide the information to get it out to other users. If the developers wont listen to us then all of us should stop giving them the information this app prizes so dearly! Its a simple request to be able to sit peacefully at home at the end of a hard days work without being inundated with thank you after thank you for letting others know a car was pulled off the road!
Along with my previous post, I would like to state that I think waze is the greatest GPS app out there. It is a wonderfully helpful and inventive way to let people know what the traffic is like and to let them know when there are potential hazards ahead. I want to thank everyone who developed waze and continue to make it great. With that being said, again can you PLEASE allwo me to stop receiving notifications when someone thanks me.
