Turn off "thank you" notifications!!
I don't like my screen being cluttered with dozens of notifications, and my notification center being filled etc with dozens on unnecessary thank yous!! It makes me want to stop using the app! Please include the ability to TURN THIS OFF!!
Thanks!

This is a navigation app, not a game. Please don't make it work like one. Nobody needs notified that they just sent an update and have their music mute for no reason.

Sometimes you need to report to things quickly and the thank you takes too long to go away. If you won't let us turn it off, at least make last just 1 second. Please?

This feature is actually very good. You certainly don't have to answer, but it does let Waze know whether to continue with the notification to other Wazers of if the hazard/ condition/ police are no longer there.

How about an option to turn the cunt off permanently. I don't fucking want waze. Never asked for it but the dirty shit fuck piece of crap pops up every time i use Spotify. I pay a subscription not to have ads. Why the fuck do i get pop ups for this cunty shite? Seriously thinking of ending my sub if this shite continues. Same thing with lyrics app. WTF. Something else i didn't ask for. Cunts.

I will soon stop adding information like speed traps or traffic if they don’t stop the thank you reports. It shows as an unread message whenever I look at my apps. Waze must not look at these comments. If they did, they would turn off the reports

This is the most frustrating aspect of using Waze on my mobile device. I really don't care who thanked me or if my contributions were useful. Just give me the points, add to the map, and carry on. How is this not configurable?

Echo the above. For days after I put in a speed trap, I get thanks, which keep ringing till I actively dig out my phone and silence them.
I'm willing to crowdsource police reports, but DAMMIT YOU ARE TRYING OUR PATIENCE. PEOPLE ARE ANGRY. RIGHT NOW, PEOPLE ARE CONSIDERING "NEVER SAY WHEN YOU SEE A COP", JUST TO STOP THE "THANK YOUS".
REMEMBER, WHEN YOUR CROUDSOURCING DATA GOES AWAY, SO DOES YOUR VALUE.
FOR THE SAKE OF WAZE, ALLOW "THANK YOU" NOTIFICATIONS TO BE TURNED OFF.

My Verizon based Samsung S7 has the ability to block Notifications from any App. I have used this to successfully stop the useless "Thank You" notifications that I had been receiving from Waze. It was fairly easy to find and implement. Settings / Notifications / Waze - Set switch to Off. Would have been nice if Waze allowed to do this inside the App, but I found a way. Only problem is that periodically, I have to set the switch to Off again, as it appears to default to On, when Waze updates.

I completely agree with this. I find no benefit to having my phone bombarded all day long from thank yous. I want to turn them iff!

September 1, 2014 is the first post in this suggestion to shut off Thank you notifications. Nearly 3 years of people asking hasn't produced any reasonable effect?
What's up with that Google? -

I agree with everyone else. Please allow for the ability to turn off the "thank you"s. It is really annoying and distracting to get alerts all day from reports hours ago. At the very least, time out the alerts so they stop appearing after a period of time. I remember at one point in time these could be silenced, what happened?

Incredible. Waze relies upon users to enter much of its real-time road reports. And yet this simple request has gone un-addressed, for years. One has to wonder what the benefit is, to Waze, to abuse the users who are the source of so much of the data on which Waze relies, for its success. Truly, this is a suitable topic for study, by a business school grad student. . .
Although it seems a pity to do so - this app does produce useful notifications - my only recourse is to suppress all notifications from the app. The crowd-sourced road data is essential, to me. For this reason I will continue to contribute what I can. But I couldn't care less, about receiving these thank-you notifications. And, clearly, Waze couldn't care less about supplying a means to stop them being pushed to my phone.

I for one really enjoyed the thanks. Nice to know I helped someone on their route

AGREED! Who actually thinks these little jingles are pleasant. I use the app every day and I've stopped providing notifications, but I still receive them. Not sure how to stop them.

Agree - I don't want these, and don't find them useful.

SO happy to find this... if WAZE does not correct this they are going to loose users. I get more notifications from this app then anything else on my phone. Give me a break... stop it or I am gone...
