An error occurred while saving the comment As someone else said many years ago, "I'd like an option to turn off the "Thanks. You've helped nearby Wazers" message when you file any kind of report."
I have never seen this before, but recently it started appearing at the bottom of my screen that normally has useful information, like ETA, time to arrival, distance to arrival, access to search., etc. I cannot find a way to dismiss the message, so am stuck for the rest of that trip without all the information. I did look up how to disable the message by disabling all push notifications, which includes a lot of useful things I would like to see like Major Traffic Events, Unusual Traffic Alerts, Natural Disasters, etc, but will no longer get these. This seems ridiculous.
Found a permanent solution. Get an old version of Waze from apkmirror, install it, and prevent the playstore from automatically updating apps.
I went back a couple of versions from the latest and they all had the same problem, so I went back a few months and got one randomly (happened to be v 5.1.40.401). You have to use APKmirror Installer to install from APKmirror these days since they are in package form.
