Incredible. Waze relies upon users to enter much of its real-time road reports. And yet this simple request has gone un-addressed, for years. One has to wonder what the benefit is, to Waze, to abuse the users who are the source of so much of the data on which Waze relies, for its success. Truly, this is a suitable topic for study, by a business school grad student. . .
Although it seems a pity to do so - this app does produce useful notifications - my only recourse is to suppress all notifications from the app. The crowd-sourced road data is essential, to me. For this reason I will continue to contribute what I can. But I couldn't care less, about receiving these thank-you notifications. And, clearly, Waze couldn't care less about supplying a means to stop them being pushed to my phone.
