It’s a useless option — it only lists previous drives, unlike the iOS version which intelligently links each drive with the time of travel (for example, school runs). It’s also unsafe, as you have to take your eyes off the road to cancel the option on every journey. Please let users decide whether they find it useful, rather than forcing it by default.

When I put in a destination via Android Auto, I want to Drive Now 100% of the time. I'd be fine with the setting being On by default, even without using Android Auto

It's distracting and causes me to take focus off the road every time I start waze. I've been using Google maps more frequently as of late because of this annoying "feature" vs Waze which was always my go-to as it's route guidance is superior in the lovely Chicagoland traffic messes.

It's frustrating and dangerous to have to keep tapping nonsense in the screen instead of paying attention to the road. Please just go!

The fact that this isn't an option in the settings is beyond frustrating.

Waze needs to add a settings option to turn off "drive now" and other recommended destinations when the app starts up in android auto. These pop ups don't go away most of the time unless you manually close them. A lot of Waze users don't want to enter a destination each time they use the app in their vehicle.

It may be illegal in Australia to have to tap the screen and directions are required immediately.

Would it be possible to add an option to Waze settings to automatically navigate using the fastest route after I select destination? Currently it waits about 10 seconds for route confirmation during which it does not navigate. Quite often I need to navigate immediatelly if I am in town due to dense traffic. When I sit in my car find destination, put phone in holder and then instead of merging to traffic right away in the correct direction, I only see the bar slowly expiring to confirm the route. Then I try to tap the bar to confirm this, but that is difficult to do while I sit in car and phone in the holder. Often I cancel the rout or switch to another app instead, which is frustrating. Over all I can see that I missed opportunity to merge into the traffic and have to wait minutes until another space for me to merge appears.

Option to start navigation right away after the sestination is selected would greatly improve my experience with waze.

This feature wouldn't be so bad if the list of destinations was helpful. Bring back the saved destinations in that window!

Even better, make it an option to have the window open or closed, ans, if open, have the recent destinations or the saved destinations.

We need to be able to disable the Drive now pop up or at least have it auto time out and disappear.

REMOVE USELESS DESTINATION CONFIRMATION BEFORE STARTING. The one who makes a mistake has to pay, not all the others who have always given the right destination first. Penalty is currently on all honest people, and not on the fools who make a mistake. If you do a mistake, you have to start again!

How is Waze just ignoring this. It's been a problem for 2 years and it's still not removed. I'm deleting Waze ubtil this is gone.

I want to switch to Waze but I won't unless this goes away

I changed to Waze because Google Maps have this STUPID "feature". Now you have it too. Now when it's impossible to exit the **** split screen mode - at last have a non annoying map app. I can't even dismiss the window. If the map is on the large part of the screen (media player compacted) it just stays open.

If annoying and it's becomes a privacy issues.

Please provide us with an option to disable this feature. It's a privacy violation!!
