While I understand that many people might like the Favorites list to reflect the most recently used destinations, I have found that a favorite destination on the list can be located much faster if the list maintains its alphabetical order. I prefix the name of each favorite by an identifying description, i.e., Friend, Restaurant, Theater, etc., and can locate it much faster if the list is in alphabetical order.
