Gravel and dirt roads should not be bunched together. Where I live in Canada, dirt roads are not maintained and are not cleared in the Winter making them impassible. As such, if you are not familiar with the local roads, which you wouldn't be if you're using a GPS, you shouldn't be driving down dirt roads. Some people would say that common sense should tell you not to go down these roads if you're in a car, but time and time again we see that common sense isn't stopping people from following their GPS down poorly maintained roads.
