Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to have it included in our plans for later years and will keep you posted.

It's really frustrating as I ride a motorcycle most of the time, but doesn't change over to a car when I'm using Carplay.

I commute on a motorcycle with my phone in my pocket. Sometimes there's a long gap between instructions, and I don't know if I need to continue or Waze has crashed.
Could an option for a periodic reminder (perhaps once a minute) be added to help give confidence and remind me of the next junction?
As someone who rides a motorcycle without the screen visible, I rely on the voice guidance. Sometimes it can be a long time between instructions and it's made worse by Waze crashing going silent for a different reason.
