    I like this idea. Similar to how the D "delete" shortcut works to delete a node when the mouse is over a segment node, you could add the C "cut" shortcut, or another shortcut, and then generate the segment split.

    Often, new editors send PMs asking for support with an edit. They send the segment ID because they're unfamiliar with the permalink feature.
    To find the segment, we either have to send the permalink generation tutorial or ask for other information, such as the full address.
